To work properly, the used printer has to support PCL (Printer
Command Language). Please refer to the manual of your
printer for more information. A list of supported printer
Important
makes is also available from Hürner Schweisstechnik on-line at

The Print Menu and Printing/Transferring Reports
When a data communication cable is connected, the machine displays
the Print Menu. According to the selection made in this menu, data
will be sent to the connected device: to a printer for print-out, to
a stick for temporary storage, or to a PC for further processing and
archiving.
Using the ñ and ò cursor keys, select "Print All Reports," "Print Com-
mission Number" or "Print Date."
The option "All Reports" (logged protocols) causes all the welding
reports stored in system memory to be printed. The options "Print
Commission Number" and "Print Date" take the operator to the next
screen in which the first available commission number or the first
available date is displayed. Use the ñ and ò cursor keys to browse
through the reports in system memory and select the desired commis-
sion or date from which reports should be printed or transferred (see
Display 30). When the desired one is found, the selection has to be
confirmed by pressing the START/SET key to start the data transmis-
sion to printer, stick or PC.

Printing on Paper
Printing starts automatically after a selection was made in the Print
Menu. Wait for all the selected reports to print off and the "Printing
finished" message to appear on the screen.
If a problem occurs while printing is in progress (no paper in bin,
paper jam, ink or toner used up), a "Printer not ready" message is
displayed. After the problem condition is cleared, printing resumes
automatically.
If the product recognizes a problem that cannot be cleared
while printing or data transfer is in progress, it does not
resume printing or transfer and displays a "Printing inter-
rupted" error message.

Data Transfer to a USB Stick
Transferring welding reports to a USB stick requires the same steps as
printing them off on paper with a USB printer. The only difference is
that instead of the USB cable of a printer, you stick the USB stick into
the USB A interface port of the product. When using a USB stick, too,
wait for all the selected reports to be transferred and the "Printing
finished" message to appear on the screen.

Data Transfer to a PC with HÜRNER DataWork
HÜRNER's welding data management application DataWork allows
downloading welding reports from a welding system directly into
the database on a PC. To do so, connect a USB cable from the PC to
the USB B interface of the welding system. Then launch the database
application HÜRNER DataWork and, in the Transfer menu, select the
Welding Unit --> PC option and in its sub-menu, USB Port. See the
DataWork user's manual for further information on direct download
of welding data to the DataWork database.
