Switching the device on and off

also intended as the button to confirm your selection when
you are in a menu.
Language settings
Language selection - depending on the region and official lan-
guage you can individually adapt the device language.

Performing measurements

The HPM clima dew point and temperature sensor must not
be used to determine accurate ambient condition values until
the device itself has adapted to the air temperature.
The HPM clima dew point and temperature measuring device
requires approximately one minute per degree Celsius to
adapt to changes in the ambient temperature. Turbulence in
the ambient air can accelerate this acclimatisation process.
Temperature measurement via infrared temperature sensor
(IR temp)
Press the button to activate the IR sensor for surface
temperature measurements and hold the sensor horizontally
to the surface you would like to measure. The surface tem-
perature is determined using the installed infrared tempera-
ture sensor. The greater the distance to the object, the greater
the measuring range. Keep the measurement distance to the
object to a minimum. As a rule, the distance must not exceed
100 cm. If the ascertained surface temperature is lower than
the dew point temperature shown on the display of the HPM
clima, this means there is condensation on the surface of the
object.
Consequently refrain from further work (e.g. coating).
