We recommend the operating always with two men, because of the high working range
of the machine!

Coupling/decoupling the tools / spirals
Coupling:
Push the tool / spiral until it engages with the coupling.
Decoupling:
Push the segregation key into the bore and push the tool / spiral to the side out of the cou-
pling.

Operation
Operation of the pipe cleaning machine may only be performed while taking
account of all notes concerning safety of people and the machine!
Position the machine at a distance of approx 1m from the opening of the tube to be cleaned
and fixed with the fixing brake (4).
Slide guide hose onto the stay bolts (rear side of the machine housing) and fasten by means
of screws.
Push spiral into the device and attach a suitable tool to the front. Select the appropriate tool
for the anticipated type of dirt blockage.
Before any further manual operations are carried out gloves must be worn!
Start the motor as follows, reverse gear (1) must be turned in idling speed (N).
turn switch (5) to „ON".
open Fuel tap (6).
Choke (7) to right position and pull the motor starter until the motor starts up.
Close Choke (7), if the motor is in operating temperature.
Regulate the throttle lever (8) until the necessary operating speed is achieved.
Slide the spiral approx. 500mm into the pipe to be cleaned.
Reverse gear (1) turn to clockwise rotation (R) and push the spiral slightly into the tube until
a resistance point is perceptible (blocked point).
Pull the spiral out of the machine until a slight working bend is created.
Operate the hand-lever (2b), the spirals will now start to rotate.
Press the created working bend downward by hand in order to assert pressure in the direc-
tion of the blockage.
The spiral should bore into the blockage and should not be pressed into the blockage!
Once the pre-stressed working bend has penetrated the tube, relieve the hand lever (2b)
and pull the spiral out of the machine in order to create another working bend.
Form a working bend and repeatedly press the rotating spiral in the direction of the blockage
until the blockage has been removed.
If a tool has become jammed in the tube at the point of the blockage, switch the device to left-
hand motion and release the spiral from the blockage by moving forward and backward.
3.5
Pull the spiral back out of the pipe
After successfully removing the blockage, use one hand to pull the rotating spiral out of the
tube until a slight bend is formed.
Relieve the hand lever (2b) and push the spiral that has come to a standstill back into the
device.
Operate the hand lever (2b) once more to make the spiral rotate again.
Repeat these working sequences until all spiral segments have been removed from the
tube.
