Connection

Disconnect the power cables from the battery and from
the mains before connecting or disconnecting any ca-
bles! Only use the specified cross-sections and fuses with the
correct rated current!
Positive charger cable red

– Connect the charger to the supply battery (battery II) in ac-
cordance with the connecting diagram (fig. 3). Pay attention
to the cable cross-sections and ensure correct polarity.
– Connect the negative charger cable (blue, 6 mm²) for bat-
tery II to the negative output terminal of the charger and the
negative terminal of battery II.
– Connect the positive charger cable (red, 6 mm²) for battery II
to the positive output terminal of the charger and the posi-
tive terminal of battery II. For cable lengths of over 1 m, this
cable must be equipped with a 30 A fuse near the positive
pole of the battery II!
– Connect the measuring cable (red 0.75 mm²) to the B+ in-
put of the device and the positive pole of the battery II. For
cable lengths of over 1 m, this cable must be equipped with
a 2 A fuse near the positive pole of the battery II!
– Connect the charger to the starter battery (battery I) in ac-
cordance with the connection diagram (fig. 3). Pay attention
to the cable cross-sections and ensure correct polarity.

– Connect the negative charger cable (blue, 6 mm²) for bat-
tery I to the negative output terminal of the charger and the
negative terminal of battery I.
– Connect the positive charger cable (red, 6 mm²) for battery I
to the positive output terminal of the charger and the posi-
tive terminal of battery I. This cable must under all circum-
stances include the 30 A fuse supplied in its circuit, posi-
tioned close to the positive terminal of battery I.
– If you are using a charge control panel (e.g. Calira LK-Panel II),
connect it to the 4-pole LK-Panel connection on the device.
– If you are using a temperature sensor for the battery II, stick
the temperature sensor to the face of the battery II (supply
battery). To do so, remove the protective plastic film from
the sticking spot of the temperature sensor and press it
firmly to the desired position at battery (see description of
temperature sensor). Connect the cable of the temperature
sensor to the temperature sensor connection of the device
(2-pole connection).
– When the device is delivered, it is set to operation with liq-
uid electrolyte batteries. If necessary, you can set a different
battery type (liquid or gel / AGM) of your battery II using the
toggle switch.
– Connect the mains cable to the power distribution of your
boat, mobile home or caravan. Connect the green / yellow
cable to the earth circuit!
– Check that all the connections are firm and secure.
– Finally, connect to the mains using the rubber 230 V mains
plug of the power cable.
