GKS-Eurotwin-K design features
Gas fired condensing boiler to DIN 4702 / EN 303, for
pressurised gas combustion. Output range 450 to 1250 kW.
For DHW up to 100 °C; permissible operating pressure
6 bar.
Three-pass flame tube:smoke tube boiler made from
corrosion resistant stainless steel for modulated
operation without a lower temperature limit.
Hydraulically separated return water routing for
optimum utilisation of condensing technology through
the thermal zones principle.
The smoke tubes are made of smooth pipes and are
fitted at the factory with heat resistant, stainless steel
turbulators in the third pass. At the front are two fully
pivoting boiler doors which enable the combustion
chamber and secondary heating surface to be cleaned
properly from the front. The flue gas chamber can
also be removed for this purpose. The heating return,
ultra-low temperature condensing return, flue gas
connection, condensate drain and connection for the
drain are at the back of the boiler. The heating flow,
high temperature flow, safety flow and all required test
nipples are arranged on top of the boiler.
The boiler front and back panels, joined by longitudinal
tie-bars, can be used to carry the boiler for installations
on foundations to be created on site. The boiler is
firmly welded to its base frame. In addition, there are
two 80 mm high longitudinal rails, secured to the front
and back panels, below the boiler base frame. These
can be removed during transport and installation.
Boiler control unit
The organisation of a heat supply that saves energy and
is tailored to suit individual requirements is a complex
task. Processes and hydraulic system conditions must
be taken into consideration. For medium and industrial/
commercial boiler systems, this task is usually taken on
by central control systems.
As decentralised control systems, Wolf control
units provide a constant temperature and weather-
compensated mode of operation.
These control units can be used for two-stage and
modulating burners, single and multi-boiler systems, in
combination with heating circuit or boiler circuit control
units, and control components for DHW heating to
prevent legionella bacteria.
DDC control units and building management systems
can be used. For these, the relevant operating and
installation instructions of the manufacturer apply.

Specification
Thermal insulation and casing
All boilers are equipped with full thermal insulation to
reduce radiation and standby heat losses. The thermal
insulation consists of 100 mm thick mineral wool
matting.
The casing consists of easy-to-assemble cassette
sections, packed separately.
Delivery and packaging
The boiler body is packed on a pallet. The casing and
accessories are packed separately in cartons.
Approval
The boilers of the GKS-Eurotwin-K series are
CE-designated according to Gas Application Directive
90/396/EEC.
