Setting up the appliance

B efore using the appliance for the first time, insert the accompanying
1.5 V alkaline batteries (type AA) into the battery compartment,
ensuring correct polarity.

I n order to insert or replace the batteries, turn the lower half of the
casing left and then pull it off with a downwards motion (see Fig. A).

I nsert the batteries, taking care to ensure correct polarity, replace
the lower half of the casing and tighten it by rotating it clockwise
(see Fig. A).

P lease ensure that the appliance is in perfect condition before
using it.
