V or more (normally wires suspended from steel towers)
or 9 m in the case of overhead lines carrying less than
33,000 V (normally wires suspended by wooden poles),

avoid falling limbs and debris. Keep bystanders 50 feet
(15 m) away when operating saw. Do not expose to rain.

• Before using, check that the chain saw is securely
attached to the pruning extension by bolt.
• Always use eye and head protections.
• Always clear the work area before operation.
• Never cut in an unstable posture (e.g., cutting from a
ladder or tree).
• To avoid the risk of injury from falling branches, never
stand directly under the branch being cut.
• A branch may close in and pinch the saw chain in the
cut, if you cut off a branch from the bottom.

out a hex wrench from the switch rod provided on the
pruning extension. Remove the switch rod with the hex
