2�3 Information for the installation of AWADUKT FLEX-CONNECT with tightening tool (for tightening
bands with two tightening jacks each)
Please note:
For the installation of the dimensions ≥ DN250 of AWADUKT FLEX-CONNECT you require a tightening tool to
tighten the tightening bands.
Proceed as follows:
In order to install pipe couplers, whose tightening bands have two tightening jacks each, i.e. from AWADUKT
FLEX CONNECT type DN 250, you require the tightening tool to fix the tightening jacks.
The tightening jacks can be tightened at the beginning without a tightening tool by tighten the jacks mutually
as long as having a low resistance to the connected pipes. Tighten the tightening jack on the larger pipe
lightly that the pipe coupler still can be moved slightly on the pipe.
Hook the tightening anchor band underneath the tightening jacks.
Put the tightening anchor band from the side into the tightening tool. In doing so, push the excenter lever
upwards.
Hook the tip into the channel slot on the tightening jack.
Tighten the tightening anchor band at the end of the tightening tool with a torque wrench of 12 Nm.
