INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
Foreword
Dear Customer,
We would like to thank you for buying this DRU product.
Our products have been designed and produced to meet
the highest possible quality, performance and safety
requirements, allowing you to enjoy years of problem-free
use.
The heater has an enclosed combustion chamber. Its
natural draught draws in the combustion air from outside
through a combined inlet-outlet system.The same natural
draught expels the combustion gasses.
In this booklet you will find instructions for the installation
and use of your new appliance. Please read these
instructions and the manual carefully to familiarize yourself
with the appliance. If you require any further support,
please do not hesitate to contact your supplier.
Unpacking
Once the heater has been unpacked, all packaging should
be disposed of in the regular manner.
Connection
This appliance should be connected by a registered
gasinstaller.
Important
• The chimney breast should be adequately vented.
• The appliance must not be packed or covered in any way
whatsoever.
• Always clean the glass pane before using the gas fire, to
prevent any finger marks or other dirt getting burnt into
the glass.
• This appliance may only be installed using the Ø150/Ø80
flue material supplied by DRU.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
Type of gas
This appliance is suitable for G20 or G25 (NL) natural gas.
Please check that the local gas and pressure correspond
with the specifications on the type identification tag.The
type identification tag is a metal plate (6), see fig. 1. All
regulations regarding gas installation, including any local
regulations, must be observed at all times. The appliance is
to be installed by a registered gasinstaller.
Important
• Keep curtains and any other flammable materials at least
50cm away form the appliance.
• Caution! Touching the heater when hot can cause burns
and blisters!
• The appliance should be installed and maintained by a
registered gasinstaller.
• Do not install any so-called dust filter on or under the
casing.
• Do not hang wet clothes and towels etc. on the heater to
dry.
Positioning the appliance
The appliance has been designed to be built snugly into a
newly built chimney breast, made of incombustible and heat-
resistant material.
If you build a chimney breast made of any material other
than stone (e.g. Promatect), we advise you to use glass fibre
wallpaper rather than plaster. Cracks can form at the
corners of the chimney breast as they are immediately
above one of the hottest parts of the heater.
Allow sufficient space for the depth of the appliance (400
mm).The built-in height will depend on how the adjustable
feet are set.The feet can be adjusted to the required length,
and can be fixed with self-drilling screws (7) in the interior,
see fig. 1. Build the chimney breast accurately allowing for
the narrow flange on the inside.
Remove the glass window of the combustion chamber and
remove the box of logs and bag of accessories.

To do this, unscrew the 2 socket-head screws on the left of
the glass pane, using the spanner provided. Lift the window
frame out of its hinges.

To do this:
• Remove the five screws from the retaining strip at the
front.
• Remove the strip and then the front pane.
• Remove the screws at the sides of the retaining strips.
• Remove the strips and then the side panes.

The magnets are supplied separately.
If you have bought an interior with a side pane on the right,
position the magnets as in fig. 1a (9). If you have an interior
with a side pane on the left, position the magnets in the
exact position.
If you have bought a front for an interior with a window on
the left, and the interior has been assembled with a window
on the right, the interior will first have to be converted.
Do this as follows (see fig. 1a):
• Unscrew the self-tapping screws and remove the following
elements:
• The cover plate at the back on the right, (1).
• The cover plate at the back/side, in the left-hand corner, (2).
• The square-corrugated steel plate on the left-hand side, (3).
• The side piece on the left of the combustion chamber, (4).
• Place the magnets.These should be positioned at the side
on the left and at the front on the right.
• Replace the following elements with the self-tapping screws.
• The side piece on the right of the combustion chamber, (4).
• The square-corrugated steel plate on the right-hand side, (3).
• The cover on the back/side, right-hand corner, (2).
• The cover plate at the back, on the left, (1).
If you have bought a front for an interior with a window on
the right, and the interior has been assembled with a
window on the left, the interior will first have to be
converted, as above but then the exact opposite.
