8. Commissioning

a) Installing the Steering Servo

The scope of delivery includes an U-shaped
plastic bracket (B) that can be used to attach a
standard servo (not included in the delivery, must
be ordered separately) in the vehicle.
First, screw servo (A) to the plastic bracket (B)
with 4 screws.
Attach a suitable servo lever (C) to the servo. The
servo should be in the centre position for this.
Otherwise, the lever position must be changed
again afterwards.
As indicated in the figure above, the servo lever
(C) should be placed towards the inside.
Now hook the servo rod (D) into the servo lever
(C). If the steering deflection is too large later,
the servo rod position may have to be changed
in the servo lever.
Attach the plastic bracket with the attached servo
to the chassis with 4 countersunk head screws.
Push the servo rod through hole (E) of the servo
saver.
Before fastening the servo rod (D) with grub screw
(F), the servo must be in the centre position and
the servo lever (C) must be pushed on correctly
and screwed on tight.

b) Installing the Speed Controller and Receiver

The speed controller should be placed between the motor and the steering servo to achieve a low vehicle centre of
gravity. Attach the speed controller to the chassis, e.g. with double-sided adhesive tape.
Connect the two speed controller output cables to the motor. Observe the operating instructions for the speed controller
used by you.
The receiver can be installed on the upper chassis plate; use double-sided adhesive tape again. Connect the steering
servo and speed controller cables to the correct receiver channel; observe correct polarity in the receiver.
Attach all cables with cable ties so that they are properly placed and cannot get into the drive. To prevent interferences
and reception problems, do not tie together the servo cables or the receiver aerial with any other cables.
