Operation

The fuse locator Testboy
responding sockets in the respective circuit.
It consists of two units: The transmitter and the receiver.
The receiver can also be used as a contact-free voltage testing device.

Use

Connect the transmitter (A) with the adapter included
in the scope of delivery / with an CEE power cable
and connect it to the socket.
Illumination of the green LED (1) indicates that volt-
age is present on the socket and the transmitter (A)
is ready for operation. The installed buzzer sounds
continuously; this can be switched on and off via the
pushbutton (2).
Use the sensitivity regulator (3) to switch on the re-
ceiver (B).
The red standby LED (4) must illuminate, otherwise
replace the 9 V block battery (5).

Search mode

Bring the receiver close to the transmitter (on standby) to check its function. When the trans-
mitter signal is received (search mode) the standby LED (4) flashes and the buzzer sounds.
Working in the fuse box, locate the appendant circuit breaker by setting the sensitivity to maxi-
mum and leading the tip of the receiver along the automatic circuit breakers.
Reducing the sensitivity and leading the receiver vertically and horizontally along enable highly
exact localization of the corresponding circuit breaker (fuse).
If you are convinced that you have found the fuse for which you are looking, switch it off. If acti-
vated, the buzzer and the LED (1) of the transmitter (A) end within a second if the socket is
voltage-free.
You can be sure that you have found the appendant fuse.

Test mode

As long as a signal is not received from the transmitter (A) e.g. because the transmitter is not
con-nected, the receiver (B) can be used as a contact-free voltage testing device. AC voltages
over 110 V AC cause the tip (6) of the receiver to flash red and the buzzer will sound quietly.
