Operation
As soon as the transmitter signal has been received for the first time, the receiver switches into
search mode automatically, i.e. the contact-free voltage test is without function.
To return to test mode, simply switch off the receiver and then back on again.
Current flow is not necessary.
Check the receiver for its correct function before using on
a known voltage source (e.g. socket).
If the tip does not illuminate when using this function, voltage can still be present- The test in-
strument shows active voltages, which generate sufficiently strong electrical fields of current
sources (mains supply). If the field strength is low, the instrument may not detect applied volt-
age. If the instrument does not detect existing voltage, this can be due to the following factors,
amongst other things:
● Shielded wires/cables
● Thickness and type of insulation
● Distance from the voltage source
● Fully-isolated consumer devices that prevent effective earthing
● Connectors in flush sockets / differences in socket design
● State of the instrument and the batteries
ONLY INTENDED FOR USE BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL
The user of this measuring instrument should be familiar with the dangers involved in measur-
ing voltage.
The non-contact voltage test is not suitable for determining
whether or not a line is live.
