Measuring DC Current
Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red
to theVΩmA jack for a maximum 200mA current, for a ma-
ximum 10A current to the 10A jack. Set the rotary switch
at the
range position. Connect the test leads in series
with the working resistance for measurement. The value
and polarity can now be read from the LCD Display
NOTE:
When the estimated value is unknown before the measu-
rement set the rotary switch on the highest range.
If only ‚1' or ‚-1' is displayed, it indicates that the measured
value exceeds the measurement range and a higher range
has to be selected.
Measuring Resistance
Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red
to theVΩmA jack. Set the rotary switch at the Ω range po-
sition. The value can now be read from the LCD Display
Note:
If only ‚1' or ‚-1' is displayed, it indicates that the measured
value exceeds the measurement range and a higher range
has to be selected.
When measuring resistances above 1MΩ it may take a few
seconds to get a stable reading.
When the input is not connected, for example when the-
circuit is open, the figure ‚1' will be displayed.
When measuring internal resistance make sure that the cir-
cuit is not energized and that all capacitors are discharged.
When the estimated value is unknown always use the high-
est measurement range.
Measuring Temperature
Set the rotary switch on the °C position. The LCD will
show the current temperature of the envoirement. When
using the thermocouple, connect it to the middle and right
jack.
Continuity Testing
The continuity test checks if the circuit is continous.
Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red
to the VΩmA jack. Set the rotary switch at the desired
position. Attach the test leads to two points of the circuit.
If continuity exists, a buzzer will sound.
