3.3.2 Finding controllers and changing network parameters
3.3.2.1 Finding available controllers
Requirement
The "IP Adaption" dialog is open, see chapter "Opening the 'IP Adaptation' dialog (Page 17)".
Procedure

1. Select the "Accessible devices" option in the
"IP-Adaptation" dialog.
2. Click "Next" to open the "Scan accessible
devices" dialog.
3. Under the "MAC address" option, enter the valid
MAC address of a controller whose network
parameters you want to change, or select the
option "Accessible devices in target subnet" to
search for controllers that are accessible in the
network of the HMI device.
4. Start the search with the "Start Scan" button.
The "Scan operation warning" dialog is shown
with the information that the scan may take a long
time.
When you have confirmed the "Scan operation
warning" dialog with "OK", all controllers found are
shown in the "Accessible devices" dialog.
If you have specified a specific controller via the
"MAC address", the list contains only one entry.
If you searched for available controllers with
"Accessible devices in target subnet", all controllers
of the type S7-1200 and S7-1500 that are accessible
in the network of the HMI device are displayed.
