Installation

None of the connection cables must be bent nor squeezed. This can
result in malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device.
Make sure that cables are not damaged when drilling or bolting into
place.
Please note, you should choose a position for your camera that it is not
exposed to direct sunlight (this can cause glare). Further, the camera
must be protected from dust and vibration.
The infrared LED's integrated in the camera enable night vision. Please
note that coloured image reproduction changes into black and white
monochrome when increasing darkness activates the IR-LEDs. The
brightness is detected by the camera using a photo sensor at the front
side.
• Find a suitable location for mounting the camera.
Ensure that the plug and socket of the camera's connection cable are not
exposed to damp. Plugs and sockets may only be used indoors. The
camera cable must (for installation in outdoor areas or in damp rooms)
be placed so it is led into a dry room.
• There are 3 mounting holes in the mounting base enclosed. Hold the mounting base to
the desired location for installation and mark the mounting holes.
• Drill the holes.
• Screw the mounting base onto the camera and fasten the locking screws.
• Fasten the mounting base, including camera, into place using appropriate installation
material.
• Adjust the camera to the desired position. To do this, loosen the locking screws and after
successfully adjusting the camera, tighten them again to secure the position.
Do not point the camera directly toward a source of bright sunlight or
towards strong or indirect illumination as this may lead to overexposure
and a fuzzy picture.
Connection
To provide a suitable voltage supply, an optionally available power trans-
former is required (12 V/DC). When acquiring this power transformer,
check that the polarity of the low-voltage plug of the power transformer
corresponds to the polarity marked on the low-voltage connector of the
camera.
The wrong polarity can cause damage to the camera!
Proceed as follows to make the correct connections:
• Connect the BNC connector to the video input on your display device (e. g. monitor).
• Connect the low voltage plug of your power transformer (not included in the delivery) to
the low voltage connector on the camera
• Plug the power transformer into a household mains socket (230 V/AC 50 Hz).
• Turn your display device on and set the appropriate channel to enable the display
function.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Before cleaning the outside of the surveillance camera's casing, unplug it from the mains.
To clean the outside of the camera, it is sufficient to use a dry, soft and clean cloth.
Clean the lens very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it. Do not use any aggressive
cleaning agents.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic products do not belong in the household waste!
Please dispose of the device, when it is no longer of use, according to
the current statutory requirements.
