Installation

All connection cables must neither be flexed nor squashed. This can result
in malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device.
Make sure that cables or power lines are not damaged when drilling holes
in the walls or bolting into place.
Please note, you should choose a position for your camera that is not
exposed to direct sunlight (this can cause glare). Furthermore, the camera
must be protected from dust and vibration.
The integrated infrared LEDs enable night vision. Please note that with
increasing darkness and the associated activation of the IR LEDs, the
coloured image reproduction changes into black and white monochrome. The
brightness is detected by the camera using a photo sensor on the front.
The camera must not get damp or wet (IP50).
• Find a suitable location for mounting the camera.
Make sure that the plug and socket of the camera's connection cable are not
exposed to damp. These plugs and sockets may only be used in dry areas.
These connectors must thus be installed, so that they are led into a dry area.
The camera must not get damp or wet (IP50).
• There are 3 mounting holes on the mounting base. Hold the mounting base on the
desired mounting location and mark the installation drilling (e.g. with a pencil)
• Drill the mounting holes.
• Fasten the mounting base, including camera, into place using appropriate
installation material.
• Screw the camera on the mounting base and tighten the ribbed locking screw.
• Adjust the camera to the desired position. To do this, loosen the locking screw and
after successfully adjusting the camera, tighten them again to secure the position.
Do not point the camera directly toward a source of bright sunlight or toward
strong or indirect illumination as this may lead to overexposure and a fuzzy
picture.
Connection
To provide a suitable voltage supply, an optionally available power
adaptor is required (12 V/DC, 300 mA, plug polarity inside=plus,
outside=minus). When acquiring this power transformer, check that
the polarity of the low-voltage plug of the power transformer corres-
ponds to the polarity marked on the low-voltage connector of the
camera.
The wrong polarity can cause damage to the camera!
Proceed as follows to make the correct connections:
• Connect the cinch connector of the camera (yellow) to the analogue video input of
your display device (e.g. monitor).
• Connect the low voltage plug of your power transformer (not included in the delivery)
to the low voltage connector on the camera
• Plug the power transformer into a domestic mains socket (230 V/AC 50 Hz).
• Turn your display device on and set the appropriate channel to enable the display
function.

Maintenance and cleaning

Before cleaning the outside of the surveillance camera's casing, unplug it from the
mains.
To clean the outside of the camera, it is sufficient to use a dry, soft and clean cloth.
Clean the lens very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it. Do not use any aggressive
cleaning agents.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic products do not belong in the household waste!
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
