Installation

• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Materials are to be observed.
• The camera is suitable for operation in outdoor areas (IP68). The power sup-
ply unit is only suitable for use in dry, closed indoor locations.
• Only use the power supply unit included in delivery.
• Ensure that all the electric connections and connection cables between the
devices and any extension cables conform to the regulations and comply
with the operating instructions.
• Live components may be exposed, if the covers are opened or parts removed
(unless this can be done without tools). Contact points may also be live. If the
appliance needs to be opened for calibrating, servicing, repairing or replac-
ing parts or assemblies, it must be disconnected from all sources of current
first. If servicing or internal repairs are necessary, this must be carried out by
a specialist who is familiar with the risks involved and with the relevant reg-
ulations.
• Capacitors in the device may still be charged, even if the device has been
disconnected from all power supplies.
• Never plug in or unplug the power supply unit and the mains cable, respec-
tively, with damp or wet hands.
• Never pull on the power cable; only unplug it at the power outlet.

a fire or a fatal electric shock. If liquids enter the device, immediately dis-
connect it from the power supply, remove the batteries and consult an
expert.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified
specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please

None of the connection cables must be bent nor squeezed. This can result in
malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device.
Make sure that cables or wires are not damaged when drilling or bolting in
place.
Please note that you should choose the position for your camera in such a
fashion that it is not exposed to direct sunlight (glare effects can be the con-
sequence). In addition, the camera must be protected from dust and vibra-
tions.
The camera is suitable for operation in outdoor areas (IP68). The power -
supply unit is only suitable for use in dry, closed indoor locations.
Make sure that the plug and socket of the connection cable of the power
supply of the camera are not exposed to humidity. Plugs and sockets may
only be used indoors. The cable from the camera must thus (for installation
in outdoor areas or in damp rooms) be placed so it is fed into a dry room.
