Programming the Temperature
a) Switch temperature
The corresponding relay is turned on or off when the temperature exceeds or falls below the
switch temperature .
• Briefl y press the "°C/SET" button; the temperature display starts to fl ash.
• You can set the preferred temperature value by pressing the "S" or "F" keys. For quick
adjustment, hold the corresponding button for a little longer.
• Briefl y press the "°C/SET" key to save the setting (the display shows "SAV O-K" = "Saving
ok") and quit the setting mode.
b) Additional functions
• If you press and hold the "°C/SET" key for more than 5 seconds, then "tYP" appears on the
display. Then, release the button again. This function is used to select between the cooling
and heating modes.
• If you press the "°C/SET" key briefl y 1x, then "C" or "H" fl ashes on the display.
"C" = "cooling" (cooling mode): Relay is activated when temperature exceeds the set switch
temperature
"H" = "heating" (heating mode): Relay is activated when temperature falls below the set
switch temperature
• Press the "S" or "F" key to toggle between "C" and "H".
• If you press the "°C/SET" key briefl y 1x, then "DLt" appears on the display.
This function is used to set a delay time ("DLt" = "Delay Time") to prevent frequent switching
operations. If the temperature exceeds or falls below the set switch temperature, the thermo-
stat waits for a certain period (1....9 minutes, in increments of 1 minute) before activating or
deactivating the relay.
In the setting of "0", the relay will be immediately activated or deactivated.
• If you press the "°C/SET" briefl y 1x, then a number between "0" and "9" fl ashes on the
display.
• Press the "S" or "F" key to set the delay time between "0" and "9" minutes.
• If you press the "°C/SET" key briefl y 1x, then "dIF" appears on the display.
This allows adjustment of the hysteresis/temperature difference, so as to specify the devia-
tion from the switching temperature at which a switching operation is performed. Too small
a setting leads to the relay being switched too frequently, which is not desired depending on
the connected load (e.g. a heater or a refrigerator).
• Press the "S" or "F" keys to set the temperature difference between 0.1 and 19.9 °C. For
quick adjustment, hold the corresponding button for a little longer.
• If you press the "°C/SET" briefl y 1x, "Cor" appears on the display.
This function is used to enter a correction value to match the value displayed by a hygro-/
thermostat with e.g. the temperature reading of a different thermometer.
• Press the "S" or "F" keys to set the correction value between -10 and +10 °C. For quick
adjustment, hold the corresponding button for a little longer.
• Press the "°C/SET" key briefl y to return to the fi rst setting function.
• To quit the setting mode, press and hold the "°C/SET" key for longer than 5 seconds ("SAV
O-K" = "Saving ok" is briefl y indicated on the display). Alternately, wait a few seconds, without
pressing any key to quit the setting mode automatically.
Programming the Atmospheric Humidity
a) Switch humidity level
The corresponding relay is turned on or off when the humidity exceeds or falls below the switch
humidity level.
• Briefl y press the "%/SET" button; the humidity display starts to fl ash.
• You can set the preferred humidity value by pressing the "S" and/or "F" keys. For quick
adjustment, hold the corresponding button for a little longer.
• Briefl y press the "%/SET" key to save the setting (the display shows "SAV O-K" = "Saving ok")
and quit the setting mode.
b) Additional functions
• If you press and hold the "%/SET" key for more than 5 seconds, then "tYP" appears on the
display. Then, release the button again. This function is used to select between the dehumidi-
fi cation and humidifi cation modes.
• Press the "%/SET" key briefl y 1x; then "d" or "H" fl ashes on the display.
"d" = "dehumidifying": Relay is activated when humidity exceeds the set switch humidity
"H" = "humidifying": Relay is activated when humidity falls below the set switch humidity
• Press the "S" or "F" key to toggle between "d" and "H".
• If you press the "%/SET" key briefl y 1x, then "DLt" appears on the display.
This function is used to set a delay time ("DLt" = "Delay Time") to prevent frequent switching
operations. If the humidity exceeds or falls below the set switch humidity, the hygrostat waits
for a certain period (1....9 minutes, in increments of 1 minute) before activating or deactivat-
ing the relay.
In the setting of "0", the relay will be immediately activated or deactivated.
• If you press the "%/SET" briefl y 1x, then a number between "0" and "9" fl ashes on the display.
• Press the "S" or "F" key to set the delay time between "0" and "9" minutes.
• If you press the "%/SET" key briefl y 1x, then "dIF" appears on the display.
This allows adjustment of the hysteresis/humidity difference, so as to specify the deviation
from the switching humidity at which a switching operation is performed. Too small a setting
leads to the relay being switched too frequently, which is not desired depending on the con-
nected load (e.g. a humidifi er or a dehumidifi er).
• Use the "S" or "F" to set the humidity difference between 1% and 29%. For quick adjustment,
hold the corresponding button for a little longer.
• If you press the "%/SET" briefl y 1x, "Cor" appears on the display.
This function is used to enter a correction value to match the value displayed by a hygro-/thermo-
stat with e.g. the measured value of a different hygrometer.
• Press the "S" or "F" keys to set the correction value between -10% and +10%. For quick
adjustment, hold the corresponding button for a little longer.
• Press the "%/SET" key briefl y to return to the fi rst setting function.
• To quit the setting mode, press and hold the "%/SET" key for longer than 5 seconds ("SAV
O-K" = "Saving ok" is briefl y indicated on the display). Alternately, wait a few seconds without
pressing any key to quit the setting mode automatically.

Troubleshooting

Display indicator "Er1"
Disconnect the hygro-/thermostat from the mains voltage for a few seconds. If the error persists
even after restart, the device is defective.
Display indication "o-E"
The sensor was not recognised. Disconnect the hygro-/thermostat from the mains voltage and
check the cable to the sensor.
Display indication "S-E"
A short-circuit was detected at the sensor cable. Disconnect the hygro-/thermostat from the
mains voltage and check the cable to the sensor.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before cleaning or maintenance work, disconnect the product from the mains voltage by pulling
out the mains plug from the mains socket.
The product is maintenance-free. Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by a spe-
cialist.
You can use a clean, dry, soft cloth for occasional cleaning. Do not apply too much pressure on
the display, so as to avoid scratch marks.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, as they may cause discolouration or damage the
labels on the buttons.
Disposal
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
