Displays the approximate material type (right = non-ferrous metal, left =
ferrous metal)
When the battery voltage is low (<7 V/DC), the pointer does not point
towards the green area.
Audio signals
Connect a suitable headset to the 3.5 mm jack socket. The speaker will
switch off automatically.
This dial adjusts the metal detector for different search depths and prevents
false detection signals and electromagnetic interference (sensitivity).
This LED indicates the detected metal type. When the LED turns on, this
indicates that the detected metal contains iron.
This LED indicates the detected metal type. When the LED turns on, this
indicates that the detected metal does not contain iron.
Use this switch to select the operating mode and battery test mode.
• Turn the MODE dial (16) anticlockwise to switch off the metal detector. The
metal detector switches off when the dial clicks into place in the "OFF" position.
• Use a suitable screwdriver to turn the adjustment screw (20) and adjust the
pointer on the analogue display (21) to "0".
• Readjust the pointer if it does not point towards zero when the metal detector
is switched off.
• The metal detector is switched off when the MODE dial (16) is in the "OFF"
position.
• Turn the MODE dial (16) clockwise to switch on the metal detector. The metal
detector switches on when the dial clicks into place. One of the LED indicators
(6 or 17) will turn on and you will hear an audible signal.
• Turn the MODE dial (16) anticlockwise to switch off the metal detector. The
metal detector switches off when the dial clicks into place in the "OFF" position
(depending on the selected mode, the dial may need to be moved up to three
times). The LED indicators (6 or 17) will switch off.
