Avoid fully unscrewing the thread, otherwise the threaded ring may fall off and get lost. Do not twist or pull
on the interior cable.
• Loosen the knurled nuts on the swivel joint (23).
• Adjust the horizontal position of the detection probe (1) so that it will always be parallel to the ground, and then
tighten the knurled nuts slightly with your hand. The detection probe (1) should still be flexible, but must not slip out
of position after several search attempts.
• Tighten the knurled nuts on the swivel joint (23) so that the position of the detection probe (1) will not change when
you are searching for metal objects.

c) Connecting the transmission cable

• Loosely wind the cable around the telescopic pole (it should not be too loose). Insert the plug into
the connection socket (19). Ensure that it is inserted in the correct orientation. The beading in the
connector must fit into the rectangular slot on the socket.

9. Operation

a) Inserting/replacing the batteries
Before using the metal detector for the first time, follow the steps below to insert the batteries:
• To insert the first battery, remove the cover from the single battery compartment on the back of the control unit (22).
To remove the cover, gently push the latch and slide it in the direction of the "OPEN" arrow.
• Remove the cover from the battery compartment.
• To insert the other batteries, remove the cover from the dual battery compartment on the back of the control
unit (22).
• Insert a 9V block battery (not included) into the single battery compartment (18) in the correct polarity (observe the
positive/+ and negative/- markings).
The right-hand battery compartment is a single battery compartment for one battery.
The left-hand battery compartment is for two batteries.
