Bus termination on USS variant
It is necessary to terminate the last inverter on the network bus. This is done with the 'Bus Termination' DIP switches on
the front of the inverter, both DIP switches (2 and 3) are set to the 'Bus Termination' position (not in the OFF position).
A common 0V reference (terminal 10) is required between all devices on the USS bus.
Bus-Abschluss bei USS-Variante

Warnings
This equipment contains dangerous voltages and controls
potentially dangerous rotating mechanical parts. Non -
compliance with Warnings or failure to follow the instructions
contained in this manual can r esult in loss of life, severe
personal injury or serious damage to property.
Only suitably qualified personnel should work on this equipment,
and only after becoming familiar with all safety notices,
installation, operation and maintenance procedures conta ined in
this manual. The successful and safe operation of this
equipment is dependent upon its proper handling, installation,
operation and maintenance.
The DC link of all SINAMICS modules remains at a hazardous
voltage level for 5 minutes after all voltag es have been
disconnected. Therefore always wait for 5 minutes after
disconnecting the inverter from the power supply before carrying
out work on any SINAMICS modules.
This equipment is capable of providing internal motor overload
protection in accordance with UL508C section 42. Refer to
P0610 (level 3) and P0335. Motor overload protection can also
be provided using an external PTC via a digital input.
This equipment is suitable for use in a circuit capable of
delivering not more than 10,000 symmetrical amp eres (rms), for
a maximum voltage of 230V when protected by a type H or K
fuse, a circuit breaker or self -protected combination motor
controller.
Use Class 1 75° copper wire only (230V) with the cross -sections
as specified in the Operating Instructions.
The mains input, DC and motor terminals carry dangerous
voltages even if the inverter is inoperative, wait 5 minutes to
allow the unit to discharge after switching off before carrying out
any installation work.
Note
Before carrying out any installation and c ommissioning procedures,
you must read all safety instructions and warnings, including all
warning labels attached to the equipment. Make sure that the
warning labels are kept in a legible condition and ensure missing or
damaged labels are replaced.

garantito anche da un PTC esterno tramite un ingresso digitale.
Questo apparecchio può essere utilizzato in reti che forniscono
una corrente simmetrica pari a max. 10.000 A (eff) con una
tensione massima di 230 V, se è protetto da un fusibile del tipo
H o K, un interruttore automatico o da una derivazione protetta
per il motore.
Utilizzare solo conduttori di rame, classe 1, 75 °C, con le sezioni
prescritte nelle relative istruzioni per l'uso.
I morsetti di allacciamento alla rete, quelli in c.c. e quelli sul
motore possono trovarsi a tensioni pericolose anche nel caso in
cui l'inverter sia disattivato; prima di effettuare interventi di
installazione attendere 5 minuti dopo averlo disattivato.
Avvertenza
Prima di procedere all'installazione ed alla messa in esercizio, è
necessario leggere attentamente le istruzioni di sicurezza e le
avvertenze, incluse tutte le targhette di avvertimento applicate alle
apparecchiature. Accertarsi che le targhette di avvertimento siano
conservate in condizioni leggibili e si a bbia cura di sostituire le
targhette mancanti o danneggiate.
La massima temperatura ambiente ammissibile è, a seconda degli
apparecchi, di 40 risp. 50°C.
