The receiver antenna is built into the housing. To optimise the reception, it
might be necessary to align the device differently or to place it in a spot with
better reception.
Operation with an external audio source
You can, if desired, connect an external audio source such as an MP3 player or a mo-
bile phone with audio playback to the device. The sound of the external source device
is then played back through the built-in speaker.
I f an external device is connected, the water resistance is no longer as-
sumed. Therefore, in this case, use the device only in dry conditions.

• Unplug the external device again and close the AUX/LINE IN connection (5) with the
corresponding cover to restore the water resistance.

• Turn the carrying handle (9) upward to carry the device or to hang it up by the han-
dle.
Maintenance and Care
Except for replacing the batteries, the device does not have to be serviced and, except
for occasional cleaning with a soft, dry cloth, requires no care whatsoever.
After use in the shower, the device should be carefully cleaned with a damp rag so
that soap residue cannot dry on it. However, in so doing, do not spray the device with
a strong water jet.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage
the surface of the case.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed
of in the household waste!
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
Remove the batteries if there are batteries inserted and dispose of them
separately from the product.
Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked
with the following symbols, which indicate that disposal in the household
waste is prohibited. The symbols of the relevant heavy metals are: Cd =
Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead. You can return your used batteries/re-
chargeable batteries free of charge to the official collection points in your
municipality, in our stores, or anywhere where batteries or rechargeable
batteries are sold.
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
