2. Connect the red clamp to the vehicle's chassis or engine block slightly away from the bat-
tery. Do not connect the clamp to the carburettor, fuel lines or thin metal plate parts.
3. Plug the charger's plug into a 230V mains outlet. Charging begins.
4. The charging indicator shows the charging status. Once the battery is fully charged, all
four fields of the battery indicator are lit on the display.
5. Remove the charger's BLACK battery clamp from the vehicle's chassis or engine
block.
6. Remove the charger's RED battery clamp from the battery's positive (+) terminal.
CHARGING THE BATTERY IF IT IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE VEHICLE
1. Turn off all devices connected to the battery.
2. When removing the battery from the vehicle, remove the earthed terminal (usually the
negative terminal) first.
3. Check the polarity. The battery's positive (+) terminal is usually a larger diameter than
the negative (-) terminal.
4. Connect the charger's RED battery clamp to the battery's positive (+) terminal. Connect
the charger's BLACK battery clamp to the battery's negative (-) terminal. NOTE! Turn
your face away when you make the last connection.
5. Plug the charger's plug into a 230V mains outlet.
6. Turn the charger on and select a power setting. WARNING! Charge the battery in a
well-ventilated area without flammable gases.
7. The charging indicator shows the charging status. Once the battery is fully charged, all
4 fields of the battery indicator are lit on the display.
8. Unplug the charger's power cord from the mains outlet. Remove the charger's BLACK
battery clamp from the battery's negative (-) terminal. Remove the charger's RED
battery clamp from the battery's positive (+) terminal.
9. When replacing the battery, make sure it is earthed first.

6. MAINTENANCE

The charger requires only a minimum of maintenance to work well for a long time.
• Use a soft cloth to clean the charger's outer casing. Use a mild detergent if the
charger is very dirty. After each use, clean the charger's battery clamps to remove any
battery acid, which may cause corrosion.
• If the charger is not to be used for an extended period, the cables should be wound
loosely around it so that they are not damaged.
• Do not use the charger if any of the cables have been damaged. Changes and repairs
to the power cord may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

7. WASTE

Used electrical and electronic products, including all types of batteries, must be taken to a
collection point for recycling. (In accordance with directives 2012/19/EU and 2006/66/EC).
