SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING!
During charging, batteries produce explosive gases. Therefore avoid
smoking, sparks and naked flames. ALWAYS charge batteries in well-
ventilated areas.
Instructions for personal safety
• When working with batteries, always wear protective goggles and
protective clothing.
• If skin or clothing comes into contact with electrolyte (battery acid),
wash the affected area immediately with soap and water.
• Avoid touching the eyes when working with batteries. Corrosive acid
particles may end up in the eyes.
• If you get battery acid in your eyes, immediately rinse your eyes with
cold water for at least 10 minutes. Seek medical attention immedia-
tely.
• When charging and working with acid-filled batteries, ensure that
children and other persons are kept away from the battery, battery
charger and battery cables.

lead to serious personal injury or property damage.
