Battery level indicator, each trellis represents 25%. Outline border flashing
means it's charging, outline border and four trellis all light mean the battery is
full.
Bad battery indication. The battery needs replacing.
Clamp reversal and short circuit show "!" warning.
Make sure that you have connected the cables correctly so that you do not
cause a short circuit or are connected to the wrong terminals.
4. PREPARATIONS BEFORE CHARGING
1. Make sure that the charger's voltage is the same as the battery (12V/6V).
2. If it is necessary to remove the battery from the vehicle or to clean the battery termi-
nals, always undo the cable to the earthed battery terminal first.
3. Make sure that all accessories in the vehicle are turned off and cannot cause any
sparks.
4. Clean the battery terminals thoroughly to ensure proper contact. Take great care to
ensure that no corrosive material comes into contact with the eyes.
5. Check that the electrolyte level is 5–10 mm above the lead plates in the battery. If
necessary, fill each battery cell with distilled water until it reaches the level specified
by the battery manufacturer. This helps to remove excess gas from the battery cells.
Do not fill above the specified level.
6. For batteries without a filler cap, follow the battery manufacturer's charging instruc-
tions carefully.
7. Check the battery manufacturer's safety instructions as to whether or not to remove
the filler cap during charging, as well as recommended charging levels.
8. Make sure that the area around the battery is well ventilated when charging.
9. Ensure that the charging current's initial level does not exceed the battery manufac-
turer's recommendation.
10. Replace the battery filler cap if it has been removed.
