General Battery Instructions
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.

There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge standard, non-rechargeable batteries, risk of explosion!
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• If the product is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the battery. Old batteries can
leak and damage the product.
Inserting Batteries into the IR Remote Control, Changing
Batteries
• To insert or replace the battery, remove the battery compartment on the lower edge of the IR
remote control. Then insert a battery, paying attention to the correct polarity.
• Push the battery compartment, with the battery, back into the IR remote control, until the bat-
tery compartment clicks into place.
• The battery needs replacing if the range of the IR remote control decreases or the monitor no
longer reacts to the IR remote control.

Installation

Fasten the bracket provided to the rear of the monitor. Using the bracket, the monitor can be
mounted on different surfaces; even installation underneath a shelf, or on the wall, is possible.
Connection
Connect the monitor socket to the enclosed connection cable. On the end of the monitor's con-
nection cable, the following connectors/sockets are to be found:
• Yellow RCA jack:
• White RCA jack:
• Red RCA jack:
• Low voltage socket:
Secure the cable e.g. with cable fasteners. Pay attention that the cable is protected from sharp
edges. Never bend the cable!
In order to be able to operate a surveillance camera with BNC connection on one of the two video
inputs, you will need a suitable adapter. The latter is available as accessory.
Connect the low voltage connector to the corresponding round plug on the wall plug transformer.
Afterwards, plug the wall plug transformer into a mains socket.
Only after doing this should the wall plug transformer be unplugged from the mains
socket. Dispose of the damaged wall plug transformer in an environmental-friendly
way, do not use it any more.
Replace it with a new wall plug transformer with the same specifications.
• Disconnect the power supply from the product, if it is not to be used for a while (e.g.
for storage).
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous play-
things for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• In schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops the operation of
the product is to be supervised by trained employees.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this instruction manual, please
contact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
The battery might already be inserted in the IR remote control. If there is a small
plastic strip in the battery compartment, please remove it; it is used to protect the bat-
tery from early discharge.
The bracket can be fixed to the surface using screws. Use appropriate screws and
wall plugs, depending on the surface.
The adhesive surface on the bottom of the bracket may only be used if the monitor
e.g. is to be fixed on a table.
Make sure when screwing into place or when drilling holes that cables or wires are
not damaged.
