Connection
• The video signal (PAL) is available at the BCN connector (4). Use an adapter if you do
not have a BNC cable for this connection.
• The Schuko safety plug at the end of the mains cable (6) is to be connected to a proper
mains socket (230 V/AC, 50 Hz) with protective earth conductor. While connected to
the power supply, the Power LED (5) lights up.
• Set the correct input channel at the display device to display the camera image.
• Afterwards, adjust the camera in a precise manner in order to be able to monitor the
desired image section.
Adjusting zoom, focus the image
• First unfasten the two fastening screws (7 and 8). Rotate them slightly counter-clock-
wise so that both lens rings can be rotated.
• Turn the front lens ring to the left or right to adjust the desired focal length.
Then focus the image with the rear lens ring.
• Afterwards, fasten the two lens rings again using the two fastening screws (7 and 8).
Other adjustment options
a) DIP switch
The following functions can be selected on the DIP switch:
• Switch "AWB ON/OFF": Here, the automatic white balance/white comparison can be
switched on ("ON") or off ("OFF").
• Switch "AGC ON/OFF": Here, the automatic gain control can be switched on ("ON") or
off ("OFF").
• Switch "EE/AI": The switch position "EE" stands for electronic lens iris, the switch po-
sition "AI" for automatic iris.
• Switch "BLC ON/OF": Here, the automatic back light compensation can be switched
on ("ON") or off ("OFF").
b) Switch "VIDEO/DC"
The switch (2) is used to choose whether the lens requires a video control signal (Set-
ting "VIDEO") or a DC control signal (Setting "DC).
For the lens provided the switch (2) is to be set on "DC". Any other setting may
damage the lens!
c) Control bush
The control bush (9) must be connected to the lens via the connection cable.

d) Rotary knob for the adjustment of the lens iris
With the rotary knob (1) the lens iris (with DC lenses) can be adjusted. Use a suitable
screw driver and change the setting slowly until you have attained the desired lens iris
adjustment.
Cleaning
Occasionally clean the camera from dust and dirt, especially the front lens. Use a dry,
clean and soft cloth, moistened with water. Do not rub too much to avoid scratch
marks on the glass lens, deteriorating the image quality.
Never point the water jet of a garden hose or a high pressure cleaner at the camera; do
not use aggressive cleaning agents either.

Tips and Notes
a) Using a different lens
• The camera provides the option to use a "C" or "CS" lens. Please pay attention that
the screw thread, or the part of the lens that is pointing inwards, in direction of the
sensor, is not too long. Otherwise, the sensor will be damaged.
If you use "C" lenses the enclosed plastic adjustment ring must be screwed into the
camera's thread. Only after that may the "C" lens be tightened.
Do not touch the sensor! Furthermore, ensure that no dust or soiling enters the
camera's interior!
• To connect the control cables of the lens, observe the connector pin assignment for
the control bush in chapter "Other adjustment options".
b) General
• Install the camera so that it can not be reached without using auxiliary means.
The same applies to the connection cables. Ideally, they should be installed using a
plastic or metal pipe.
• Increased cable lengths result in deterioration of the video signal. In this case, use
an appropriate amplifi er.

Electrical and electronic products do not belong to the household waste!
