9. Maintenance and Cleaning

The product requires no servicing except for battery replacement.
Have repairs carried out by a/n expert/specialised workshop.
Cleaning the product is normally not necessary, since dirt on the housing,
cable or sensor has no influence on the function of the device.
Please note:
Before opening the housing (eg for changing the battery) the
housing has to be cleaned, so that no dampness or dirt gets into
the inside of the temperature sensor.
Clean the product with a soft cloth which you can dampen with lukewarm water.
Never use solvent-based cleansing agents, since this might damage the
surface of the plastic housing.
