d) Trimming the controls

Use the trim function to make fine adjustments to the remote control commands if the model does not respond
correctly (e.g. if it does not travel in a straight line when the steering wheel is in the neutral position).
The steering arms should be adjusted so that there is a 90° angle between the servo lever and the steering arms. This
will ensure that the model travels in a straight line.
Caution!
Changing the forward trim setting will also affect the left/right trim setting (and vice versa).
After configuring the trim settings, check that the motor is switched off when the throttle and steering wheel
are set to the neutral position. If the motors switches on, adjust the trim settings for the throttle and steering
wheel until the motor switches off.
Trimming the steering wheel
In the neutral position, the steering trim control (ST. TRIM, fig. 5, pos.
8) should be aligned with the arrow. If the ship tends to drift in one
direction, use the trim on the remote control to correct the neutral
position of the steering wheel.
Turn the steering trim control (ST. TRIM) until the rudder is parallel
with the direction of travel.
Use the dual rate control (ST D/R, fig. 5, pos. 9) to change the swivel
range of the rudder. 0 is the lowest and 10 is the largest swivel range.
Trimming the throttle lever
In the neutral position, the trim control (TH. TRIM, fig. 5, pos. 7)
should be aligned with the arrow. The motor must be switched off
when the throttle lever is in the neutral position (see fig. 4).
If this is not the case, turn the throttle trim control (TH.TRIM) until the
motor turns off.
If the model travels in the opposite direction to the steering wheel, reverse the controls using the steering reverse
switch (ST N R (11)).
You may need to readjust the trim settings for the steering wheel.
Use the throttle reverse switch (TH N R (10)) to reverse the throttle. The model will travel backwards when the switch
is set to the R position.
