Feed dog control
The feed dogs control the movement of the fabric
that is being sewn. They should be raised for all
general sewing purposes and lowered for darning,
freehand embroidery and monogramming so that
you, not the feed dogs, are moving the fabric.
Patch work
For additional decorative purposes,
use different kind of materials.
1. Place two pieces of fabric right sides
together and sew a basting stitch.
2. Press the seam open.
3. Place fabric right side up and stitch with
the seam line in the center of the foot.
Stitches should fall on both sides of
the seam line.
Applique
1. Position the appliqué on fabric with fabric glue,
fusible iron on stabilizer or basting stitches.
(When using fabric with frayed edges for the
appliqué, press under ¼ inch on all the edges.)
2. Sew along the edge of the appliqué. Align the
straight part of the stitch with the edge of
the appliqué to give this project a handmade
appearance.
3. When pivoting corners, lower the needle in
the right side of the stitch. Raise the presser
foot and use the needle to pivot and turn
the fabric.

Abaisse-griffes
d'entraînement
Les griffes d'entraînement assurent le mouvement
du tissu pendant la couture. Elles doivent être
remontées pour la couture normale et abaissées
pour le reprisage, la broderie à main libre et
les monogrammes, soit lorsque vous (et non
les griffes) entraînez le tissu directement.
Patchwork
Surpiques les deux morceaux de tissu.
Patch ouvert.
Cousez les points afin qu'ils s'étendent
au-delà des deux morceaux de tissu.
Applications
Choisir le motif à appliquer et l'épingler sur
le vêtement. Faire un bourdon tout autour
du motif en veillant à ce que son bord soit
bien au milieu du pied. Vous pouvez réali-
ser ce bourdon avec un fil contrastent.

Transporteur
Der Transporteur transportiert den Stoff in Nähricht-
ung. Beim freibeweglichen Quilten kann der Trans-
porteur (mit dem Transporteur-Einstellhebel) abge-
senkt und der Stoff dadurch frei bewegt werden.
Patchwork
Das Zusammennähen von zwei Stoffteilen wird als
"Zusammenfügen"bezeichnet. Die Stoffteile
werden mit einer Nahtzugabe von 6,5 mm
geschnitten.
1. Nähen Sie einen Patchwork-Geradstich 6,5 mm
entweder von der rechten oder linken
Seite des Nähfußes entfernt.
2. Streichen Sie die Saum geöffnet.
3. Nähen Sie die zwei Stoffbahnen so zusammen,
dass das Muster über beide Stoffbahnen geht.
Applikationsstich
1. Befestigen Sie den zugeschnittenen Stoff
mit Heftstichen an der gewünschten Stelle.
2. Nähen Sie vorsichtig um die Kante des Designs.
Schneiden Sie überstehenden Stoff ausßerhalb
der Naht ab. Entfernen Sie die Heftnaht bei
Bedarf.
3. Wenn Sie mit der Naht an einder Ecke
ankommen, halten Sie die Nähmaschine
an. Lassen Sie die Nadel unten (im Stoff).
Wenn die Nadel angehoben ist, senden Sie
die Nadel entweder durch Drehen des
Handrades in Ihre Richtung (gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn) oder durch einmaliges
Drücken von die Taste Nadelposition.
Stellen Sie den Nähfußhebel nach oben und
drehen Sie den Stoff um die Nadel herum.
Senken Sie den Nähfußhebel und nähen
Sie weiter.
