Connecting the machine
Place the machine on a stable table.
1. Connect the power cord to the machine
by inserting the 2-hole plug into the
plug socket.
2. Connect the power cord plug to the
electric outlet.
3. Turn the power switch.
4. A lamp will light up when switch is
turned on.
5. To disconnect, turn the power switch to the
position, then remove plug from outlet.
DANGER: To reduce the risk of electric shock.
Never leave the machine unattended when plugged
in. Always unplug this machine from the electric out-
let immediately after using and before maintenance.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric
shock, or injury to persons. Do not unplug by pulling
on the cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
Control buttons &
Drop feed lever
A. Start / Stop button
The machine will start running when the
START / STOP button is pressed and will stop when
pressed the second time. The machine will
sew slowly the first 3 stitches sewn.
B. Slide speed control lever
When using the START / STOP button,
the machine will sew faster when the slide speed
control lever is moved to the right, and sew
slower when the lever is moved to the left.
C. Low speed button
The machine will sew in low speed while holding
the low speed button. Press the START / STOP
button or foot control to return to regular speed.
D. Reverse stitch button
Stitches:

stitching when the button is released.
Other stitches: The REVERSE STITCH button will sew
3-4 stitches to tie-off the stitching and then stop
sewing. Continue sewing by pressing the START / STOP
button or foot control.
E. Needle Up / Down button
When the presser foot is down, the needle can be
raised or lowered by pressing this button. When the
presser foot is up, press this button for one complete
stitch.

F. Drop feed lever
The feed dogs project up through the needle
plate, directly below the presser foot move the
fabric being sewn. Located under the left end of
the free arm, the drop feed lever moves the
feed dogs into the up or down position.
For darning or free motion embroidery or
whenever fabric is to be fed by hand, push the lever
in and to the back of machine to lower the feed dogs
into the DOWN position. For return to ordinary
sewing, move the lever in and forward to release
the lever to move out. This will position the feed
dogs in the UP position for machine feeding.

With the machine comes a stop plate which you can
put on the stitch plate. This will shut of the drop feed.

Preparation de la machine
Installez votre machine sur une surface bien
plane. Votre machine à coudre a été huilée à
fond par la fabrique. ll est donc indispensable,
avant de commencer à l'utiliser, de bien es-
suyer la plaque de recouvrement complète
et ses abords. Faites ensuite un essai sur un
échantillon de tissu pour bien éponger l'huile
en excès. PEDALE Reliez la prise du rhéostat à
celle de la machine et du mur comme indiqué.
Les boutons et les griffes
A. Touche marche/arrêt
Pressez cette touche pour démarrer ou pour arrêter
la machine. L'aiguille s'arrête en position basse.
Cette touche n'est active que le rhéostat débranché.
B. Curseur de vitesse
Vous pouvez régler la vitesse maximale de
couture avec ce curseur électronique.
C. Bouton de lentement vitesse
La vitesse décroît que l'on appuie sur
le bouton de lentement vitesse.
D. Bouton de point arrière
Point

touche est pressée. La machine ne coud en
arrière qu'à vitesse électroniquement réduite.
Autres points: La machine coud automatiquement
3-4 points sur place et arrêt. Appuyer sur le bouton
Start/Stop ou appuyer sur le rhéostat
pour continuer la couture.
E. Touche positionnement aiguille
Appuyez sur cette touche pour relever ou baisser l'aiguille.
Appuyez deux fois sur cette touche pour coudre un point.

F. Abaisse-griffes d'entraînement

Les griffes d'entraînement assurent le mouvement du
tissu pendant la couture. Elle doivent être remontées
pour la couture normale et abaissées pour le reprisage, la
broderie à main libre et les monogrammes, soit lorsque
vous (et non les griffes) entraînez le tissu directement.

Avec la machine il y a un arrêt de la plaque. Vous
pouvez appuyer l'arrêt de la plaque sur le plaque
aiguille pour désactiver les griffes d'entraînement.

Verwendung der
Nähmaschine
1. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Wandsteckdose.
2. Stellen Sie den Netzschalter auf "ON".
3. Die Nählampe leuchtet, sobald die Maschine
eingeschaltet ist.
4. Um die Nähmaschine auszuschalten, stellen Sie
den Netzschalter auf "OFF". Die Nählampe
erlischt, wenn die Maschine ausgeschaltet wird.
ACHTUNG: Wenn die Maschine längere Zeit
nicht benutzt werden soll, ziehen Sie den Stecker
aus der Steckdose, da sonst Brandgefahr besteht.
ACHTUNG: Schalten Sie erst die Maschine am
Netzschalter aus, bevor Sie den Sticker aus der Steck-
dose ziehen. Ziehen Sie das Kabel immer am Stecker
heraus. Ziehen am Netzkabel kann dieses beschädi-
gen sowie zu Brand und elektrischem Schlag führen.

Transporteur-Einstellhebel
A. Taste Start/Stopp
Drücken Sie die Taste Start/Stopp um den Nähvorgang
ß
ohne Fu
pedal zu starten oder anzuhalten.
B. Nähgeschwindigkeitsregler
Verschieben Sie den Nähgeschwindigkeitsregler, um die
Nähgeschwindigkeit einzustellen.
C. Normale oder
begrenzte Geschwindigkeit
Wenn Sie die Taste gedrückt halten, näht die Maschine
am Anfang mit geringer Geschwindigkeit.
D. Taste Rückwärts
Stiche
,
und
Drücken Sie die Taste Rückwärts um Rückwärtsstiche zu
nähen. Rückwärtsstiche werden genäht, wenn Sie die
Taste gedrückt halten, um in die entgegengesetzte
Richtung zu nähen.
Übrige Stiche: Die Taste Rückwärts näht 3-4 Stichen am
Platz und hört auf mit Nähen. Drücken Sie auf die Taste
Start/Stop oder das Fußpedal um wieder an zu fangen
mit Nähen.
E. Taste Nadelposition
Drücken Sie die Taste Nadelposition um die Nadel
anzuheben oder abzusenken. Wenn sie die Taste zweimal
drücken, wird ein Stich genäht.
F. Transporteur-Einstellhebel
(Digitronic 16 - 32)
Mit dem Transporteur-Einstellhebel können Sie den
Transporteur absenken für freibeweglichen Quilten.
Schieben Sie den Transporteur-Einstellhebel nach links
und der Transporteur wird gesenkt.
Schieben Sie den Transporteur-Einstellhebel nach
rechts und der Transporteur wird angeheben.

Die Maschine wird geliefert mit einen Stopp-
Platte. Drücken Sie die Stopp-Platte auf die Stich-
platte um der Transporteur aus zu schalten.
