Seaming guide on
the stitch plate
The figure on each guide line on the stitch
plate indicates the distance between this guide
line and the center needle position. Guide the
fabric along the specific guide line in order to
get the desired seam allowance between the
stitching and the edge of the fabric.
Adjusting the thread tensions
The thread tension must be properly balan-
ced. If adjustment is required, it can be made
by changing the upper thread tension.
A. Correct Thread Tension
Upper and bobbin threads should interlock
in the middle of fabric.
B. When the bobbin thread appears on top
side of the fabric turn the tension dial
to a lower number to loosen the
upper thread tension.
C. When upper the thread appears on the
bottomside of the fabric turn the tension dial
to a higher number to tighten the upper thread
tension.
D. Thread tension for Zigzag Stitches
To sew zigzag stitches, the thread tension
should be set to a slightly weaker tension than
when sewing straight stitches. You will
obtain a nicer stitch when upper thread
appears slightly on bottom side of fabric.
Helpful Hint
Like shown on drawing, stitches on top side of
fabric are good but tottom side tends to have a
bunch of thread, it usually means the the upper
thread is not threaded correctly
(especially threading of the upper thread
tension may not be correct.)
CAUTION:
To prevent accidents.
The feed dog will feed the fabric auto-
matically. Do not pull or push fabric with
hands. This could cause needle breakage
or poor quality stitches.

Reglage de la tension du
fil superieur point droit
L'aspect de votre point droit dépend surtout du
bon équilibre entre la tension supérieure et la
tension inférieure. Elle est parfaite lorsque les deux
fils se nouent entre les deux épaisseurs de tissu.
Vous pouvez régler la tension supérieure avec
la molette de réglage de tension. Si la tension
supérieure est trop lâche, tourner cette molette
vers vous pour l'augmenter. Si elle est trop forte,
tournez-la vers l'autre côté pour la diminuer
Tableau des
aiguilles, fils et tissus
Utiliser des aiguilles standard. La taille de votre
aiguille doit correspondre à la grosseur du fil et les
deux doivent convenir au tissu. Pour une couture
normale, la même qualité de fil doit être utilisée
dans la canette et pour l'enfilage supérieur de
la machine. N'utiliser jamais d'aiguille courbée
ou cassée. Pour une couture réussie dans les
tissus stretch, utiliser une aiguille stretch.

Die Stichplatte besitzt Markierungen
zum Nähen eines geraden Saums.
Fadenspannung
Die Fadenspannung wirkt sich auf die Qualität
der Stiche aus. Möglicherweise müssen Sie
die Fadenspannung neu einstellen, wenn Sie
einem anderen Stoff oder Faden benutzen.
A. Richtige Fadenspannung
Die Fäden kreuzen sich in der Mitte der
beiden Stofflagen.
B. Zu hohe Oberfadenspannung
Auf der Stoffoberseite entstehen Schlingen.
Verringern Sie die Spannung, indem Sie
die Oberfadenspannung auf einen niedrigeren
Wert einstellen.
C. Zu niedrige Oberfadenspannung
Auf der linken Stoffseite entstehen Schlingen.
Erhöhen Sie die Spannung, indem Sie die
Oberfadenspannung auf einen höheren
Wert einstellen.
ACHTUNG:
Um Verletzungen zu vorkommen.
Der untere Transporteur transportiert
den Stoff in Nährichtung. Nähen Sie
den Stoff ohne ihn zu dehen, damit die
Nadel abbreche oder die Nähleistung
beeinträchtigt werden könnte.
Nadel, Faden und Stoff
Die zu verwendende Nähmaschinennadel hängt
von Stoff und Fadenstärke ab.
Anhand der folgenden Tabelle können Sie den
Faden und die Nadel auswählen, die für den zu
nähenden Stoff geeignet sind.
