1. Function principle
Look for a place with good conditions for reception (for example a
window) of the radio signal of the official German transmitter DCF77. The
transmitter is in the vicinity of Frankfurt/Main (Germany) and transmits
via long wave 77.5 kHz within a radius of approx 1,500 km. Your watch
receives the radio signal during normal use by means of an inbuilt anten-
na. The time will be synchronized automatically once a day through the
radio signal and the grid differences will be corrected independently. If the
signal cannot be received at a given time, then your watch continues to
run with the precision quartz movement till a signal can be received again.
2. Initial operation
2.1 Display of hours / minutes
Usually the watch already displays the correct time and date upon
purchase and you do not need to carry out any settings. Hours and mi-
nutes are shown via the analogue display, date and second are shown in
the digital display.
