5. Safety instructions

We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the product has been abused in any
way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe these operating instructions. The warranty will then expire! An
exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important information in the operating instructions. Carefully read the whole
operating instructions before operating the device, otherwise there is risk of danger.
• To ensure that the device is set up correctly, always read these operating instructions including the safety instructions thoroughly and
attentively before use.
• Check the device for damage before using it. If the device is damaged, do not operate it and consult an expert or our service team.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The device is constructed according to protection class 1. Only a proper power socket (100 - 270 V/AC, 50/60 Hz) with a public power supply
system grounding contact may be used as a power source.
• Anyone operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this effect light must be trained and qualified properly and observe these
operating instructions.
• Do not look straight into the light source during operation. The bright light flashes can temporarily impair your eyesight. Apart from this,
epileptic fits can be triggered under certain circumstances in persons sensitive to such lights. This particularly applies to epileptics.
• Never touch the mains plug with sweaty or wet hands. There is the risk of a fatal electric shock!
• If the mains cable is damaged, do not touch it. First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the circuit breaker) and then pull the
mains plug out of the mains socket carefully. Separate the mains cable from the device and replace it. Never use the product if the mains
cable is damaged.
• When installing the device, make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed or damaged by sharp edges.
• This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children! Children cannot judge the dangers involved when handling electrical
devices.
• Never place containers containing liquids, e.g. glasses, buckets, vases or plants on the device or in its vicinity. Liquids could get into the
device and impair its electrical safety. There also is a high risk of fire or of a life-threatening electric shock. If this is the case, first power the
respective socket down (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and then pull the mains cable from the socket. After that, the product must no longer
be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not expose the device to any high temperatures, dripping or splashing water, strong vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not place any open sources of fire, such as burning candles, on or directly next to the device.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about the mode of operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Do not operate the device unattended.
• Only use the device in moderate climate and avoid tropical environments.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• On industrial sites, the accident prevention regulations of the association of the industrial workers' society for electrical equipment and
utilities must be followed.
• Never operate the device when the housing is damaged or not covered properly.
• The device is not suitable for continuous operation. Pauses in operation increase the operational life span of the device.
• Never connect the power plug immediately after the device has been taken from a cold to a warm environment. The resulting condensation
could destroy the device. Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation water has
evaporated.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Never pull on the power cable. Only unplug it by pulling on the plug.
• Unplug the power supply if you do not use the device for an extended period of time.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in case of a thunderstorm.
• Do not cover the device to ensure sufficient ventilation. In addition, air circulation must not be obstructed by any objects such as magazines,
tablecloths, curtains etc. During operation, keep a minimum distance of 1 m around the device.
• If you are not sure about the correct connection or if there are any questions that are not covered by the operating instructions, do not
