Settings
For a fi rst function test, you should set the duration of activation using the "Time" rotary switch
(4) to a minimum.
The "SENS" (5) rotary switch for sensitivity setting should be turned clockwise fully to the right
(maximum sensitivity).
Switch on the device via the vertical "Volume" rotary switch (6). The latter sets the volume as
well.
Start the search step of the FM radio using the "TUNING" button (8). The search run stops au-
tomatically at the next stronger transmitter. Press the key again in order to continue the search
run. If necessary, reset the search by pressing the "RESET" (7) button.
Installation
The product is designed for operation outdoors. However, install it in such a way that the PIR
points downward and the light upward (see following fi gure).
☞
In any other orientation, water may get inside (e.g. through the speaker opening).

The support plate can be fi xed with screws (A). Alternately, you can use e.g. a cable tie, a wire
or the like so as not to injure the tree used for mounting.
Then, suspend the game repeller in the retaining plate from above (B) and then slide it down
until it clicks into place. The inclination is adjustable (C), so that the game repeller can be
pointed downward, e.g. if it is mounted on a tree at a 3 m height.
The range of the PIR movement sensor is about 8 m with a detection angle of 110°. Branches
or similar should not be present in this range to guarantee good detection of change of heat
by an animal passing by.
Keep this product out of direct sunlight; also, do not direct the PIR motion detector toward sunlit
areas to avoid false alarms.
☞
The battery compartment can remain open for the fi rst function test in order to effect
further settings.
However, make sure that no moisture gets into the device (do not carry out the
installation/settings when it is raining etc).
When selecting a location for installation, think of a position that is secure against
vandals and thieves, for example higher up on a tree.
Close the battery compartment for normal operation.
Operation
Depending on the regulated sensitivity, the PIR movement sensor activates the integrated radio
and the LED light. When the pre-set time duration expires, the radio and the LED light switch
off.
The function of the PIR movement sensor is based on the recognition of a quick change of heat
in the detection zone, for example, in case of an animal passing by.
The animal must have a certain minimum size. This is particularly valid if the game repeller is
installed e.g. on a tree at a height of 3 m.
☞
With a very sensitive setting, a detection is indeed possible; however, false alarms
are frequent e.g. due to solar radiation or the movement of sunlit branches etc. This
reduces the lifespan of the batteries.
Check the function of the product regularly. Clean the cover on the LED light occasionally and
the PIR sensor on the casing; to that effect, use a soft, clean cloth slightly dampened with
water. Do not rub the lamp or the PIR cover too hard in order to avoid scratches.

Tips and Notes
• When selecting the place of installation, think of a vandal and thief proof position.
• If the device should be installed in the yard, think also of your neighbours. Select an appropri-
ate volume; do not direct the product towards areas that are used by people or vehicles.
• Mount and use the product only in such a way that the PIR movement sensor points down-
ward (see fi gure under "Installation").
• Consider the growth of leaves when installing the product on a tree (detection range could be
covered!). The growth of the tree could also loosen the mounting parts of the game repeller.
• Rain falling on the PIR lens can lead to detection problems. It is therefore advisable to install
the game repeller such that the PIR movement sensor is protected from precipitation.
• Check the function of the product regularly and check the state of the batteries.
• Setting the sensitivity is not so simple, as the user cannot bring (intentionally) an animal of
the desired size in the detection range, in order to check the triggering of the mechanism.
The sensitivity can be reduced, if necessary, by turning the "SENS" (5) rotary switch slightly
anticlockwise.
• Although the functioning principal with the radio always transmits different noises (music,
speech), it is possible that the animals get used to these noises. For this reason, it is advis-
able to change the place of installation of the game repeller occasionally.
• The radio reception depends on the installation location and the weather conditions. Further-
more, the reception is worse during the day than at night.
Therefore, it is better for you to select the radio station during the day, since this ensures
proper activation of the radio at night.
Disposal
a) General instructions
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
b) Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the rele-
vant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
You can dispose of your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at your commu-
nity's collection point or any place where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thus fulfi l the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
