Maintenance et rejet des éléments usés
Hormis un nettoyage occasionnel, l'épouvantail électrique ne
nécessite pas d'entretien.
Pour le nettoyage, utiliser exclusivement un chiffon doux et humide
et ne pas utiliser de produits abrasifs ou contenant des solvants ou
des produits chimiques.
Si l'épouvantail ne fonctionne pas, bien que l'alimentation soit en
ordre de marche, ou s'il n'est pas possible de le réparer, il convient
de procéder à son rejet conformément aux prescriptions légales en
vigueur.

Installation and Use
Important!
The plug-in power unit supplied is not splash-proof and should
only by used in dry, indoor areas. You should, therefore, mount
the bird scarer in a position that allows the jack-plug (13), con-
veniently and without causing damage, to be brought outside.
a) Installation
- Choose a suitable installation position. An ideal position is pro-
tected from the weather and in the immediate vicinity of a win-
dow or door. The mounting height should be between 1 m and
2.5 m. The bird scarer must be mounted with the loudspeaker
downwards.
- In choosing the installation position, special attention should
be paid to the following:
• do not direct the sensor towards a heat source: any temper-
ature change may trigger the device,
• cars driving past can have the same effect (engine heat),
• note that you should select a position for the installation of
your bird scarer that is not exposed to direct sunlight, vibra-
tion, dust, heat and humidity (direct exposure to rain, snow
or ice).
- Screw one of the fixing screws provided into the mounting sur-
face (wood is ideal), leaving approx. 4 mm exposed.
- If you wish to mount the device on a wall, use the plastic wall-
plug provided.
IMPORTANT! Be sure, when drilling and tightening screws, that
you are not working near water pipes or electricity cables.
- Now use the mounting hole to hang (6a) the bird scarer from
the screw and pull it downwards.
- Turn the screw hand-tight. The remaining screws can be fitted
through the fixing holes (6b) to fix the bird scarer more firmly.
