• You will need a power supply unit which provides a stabilised output voltage of 6 V/DC and a
current of at least 200 mA.
Pay attention to the correct polarity of the circular plug. The inner contact must have plus/+
and the outer contact minus/-.
c) General
• Select an appropriate installation location.
The animal repeller may be mounted at a suitable location via the ground spike provided or
you can use the adjustable wall bracket.
• Align the PIR motion detector (2) with the direction you wish to monitor. The detection angle
of the PIR motion detector is approx. 100° and the detection range is approx. 5 m.
• Move the sliding switch (5) to the required position:
"AUS"
The animal repeller is switched off.
„PIR EIN"
The PIR motion sensor is active. If it detects a temperature change in the
detection area, the ultrasonic sound is activated for a few seconds (or as
long as the motion continues in the detection area). At the same time, the
integrated LED (3) lights up. If the ultrasonic sound is deactivated, the LED
also goes out; after an interval of 2 seconds, the animal repeller is opera-
tional again.
"Ohne PIR EIN" The animal repeller emits a continuous tone, the LED (3) is lit.
Note:
Normally, the ultrasonic sound (25 kHz +/-10%) is not audible to the human ear.
However, for many animals this tone is very loud and irritating.
Thus, place the wild animal repeller so any animal can leave the area surrounding
the animal repeller without any problem. Never place the animal repeller next to
small cages, dog kennels or similar!

Replacing the Battery

The battery service life with sensor operation is approx. 30 days, with continuous operation
max. 20 days.
Check the function by approaching the animal repeller from behind and holding your warm
hand into the detection area of the PIR motion detector.
The PIR motion detector now should activate an ultrasonic sound (not audible to the human
ear), and additionally the LED (3). If this is not the case, replace the batteries or rechargeable
batteries by new ones and repeat the function test.
As already described in the section „Features of the PIR motion detector", the PIR
motion sensor does not respond to the motion itself (e.g. if a person or animal enters
the detection area), but it detects the change in temperatures in the detection area.
Only if the heat change is suffi ciently high, will the PIR motion detector trigger the
ultrasonic sound and the LED (3).
Dispose of the spent batteries in an environmentally friendly manner or recharge the recharge-
able batteries with a suitable battery charger.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Apart from the the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free.
Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by a specialist.
Clean the product with a soft, clean, dry cloth.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions since these might damage the
surface of the casing or impair the operation.
Disposal
a) In general
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
Remove any rechargeable batteries inserted and dispose of them separately from the
product.
b) Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the rel-
evant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
You can dispose of your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at your commu-
nity's collection point or any place where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thus fulfi l the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
