audio/video formats
The multimedia player can display different file formats (e.g. images, texts) or play them back
(e.g. MP3s, videos).
Due to the large number of programs that generate such data formats, however, it may happen
that a file cannot be played back.
For example:
• MP3 files are generated with the most varied programs and have different bit rates (e.g.
128kBit, 192kBit or variable bit rates, VBR). The same also applies for WMA audio files.
• A higher bit rate of an audio file also requires more computing time when reconverting it to
an audio signal.
• With video data, there are numerous methods to compress image contents and audio
signals to save memory. In addition, video data has different resolutions and bit rates.
So if you have problems playing back e.g. an MP3 file, you should first test additional MP3 files
that have a different bit rate or were generated with a different program.

Video files must be converted to a suitable format for the multimedia player with
the enclosed software before they can be displayed.
This prevents playback problems on the multimedia player and also reduces
the memory required for the video files.
