Initial operation

General notes

Touch the sensitive LCD user interface only lightly. Do not exert too
much pressure.
Do not use sharp objects to operate the device such as tips of
ballpoint pens or similar.
Keep the surface dry. Immediately remove stains or drops of liquid
cautiously with a soft (and if required slightly moistened) cloth. The
surface is not water resistant. Never immerse it in liquids.
Never expose the universal remote control to severe heat. Keep it
away from sources of heat.
Avoid letting the universal remote control fall down.
Do not let anything fall onto the LCD user interface.
Use only a soft (and if required slightly moistened) cloth to clean the
LCD user interface. Do not use any detergents or solvents.

Basic manner of working

Before programming the remote control it is useful to know how it functions.
• To switch it on, just touch the LCD user surface or move the remote control.
• The remote control has 56 programmable operating keys (4) apportioned to 2
sides for each of the 8 devices which can be controlled with it.
• You can assign each control key (4) any desired command. The designations
„control keys" (4) and „device selection keys" (5) are used to facilitate operation.
• The control keys (4) vary in their appearance according to the various functions
for the different devices. The operating keypad can be adapted. Unused keys can
be hidden. Each key can be assigned a key icon.
• While in programming mode, the device will automatically return to standard
operating mode when a specific time interval following the last programming
action has elapsed.
