DCF Time Adjustment
• After inserting the batteries the clock searches automatically for the DCF signal. This is indi-
cated by a fl ashing symbol on the DCF display.
• Normally, the synchronisation process is completed within a few seconds.
• As soon as the DCF signal is decoded the DCF symbol appears and is displayed permanently and the
current time and date are displayed (by pressing the calendar button (3)).
• In normal operation, the clock makes a reception attempt every hour. If the signal is not
received, the DCF icon disappears.

If there is interference with the reception of the DCF signal, try to fi nd a new location
and/or leave the clock near a window overnight.
At night the reception is better, so the clock is normally synchronised the next morning.
The "S" in the display is the symbol indicating summertime.
If no radio reception is possible, you can also set the time manually.
Setting the Time Manually
If the DCF signal cannot be received, the time must be set manually.
• Press and hold the MODE key (2) for two seconds. The year indicator blinks. Press the „-" (4)
or „+" (5) button, to set the current year.
• Press the MODE key (2) again to select the month. The month display blinks. Press the „-"
(4) or „+" (5) button, to set the current month.
• Press the MODE key (2) again to select the date. The date indicator is blinks. Press the „-"
(4) or „+" (5) button, to set the current date.
• Press the MODE key (2) to select the hours. The hour display blinks. Press the „-" (4) or „+"
(5) button, to set the current hour.
• Press the MODE key (2) to select the minutes. The minute display blinks. Press the „-" (4) or
„+" (5) button, to set the current minutes.
• Press the MODE button (2) again to save the settings.
Manual time setting is only available if no radio signal has been received.

For fast forwarding, simply press and hold the „-" (4) or „+" (5) button until the re-
quired setting is displayed.
12/24 hour display
• Press the „+" button (5) to toggle between the 12 hour and the 24 hour display.
Setting the Language for the Weekday Display
• Press the „Calendar" key (3) to activate the date display.
• Press the „-" key (4) for approx. 3 seconds, to toggle between the language for the weekday
display, German (GE) or English (EN).
Calendar Display
• Press the „Calendar" key (3) to activate the date display. The display automatically changes
back to the time display mode after approx. 5 seconds.
Alarm function
• To access the alarm time, briefl y press the MODE key (2). This is indicated by „AL" in the
display.
• Press and hold the MODE button (2), until the hour display for the alarm time blinks.
• Set the hour by pressing the + (5) and - (4) buttons.
• Press the MODE button (2) again. The minute display blinks.
• Set the minutes by pressing the + (5) and - (4) buttons.
• Press the MODE button (2) again to save the settings.
• The display shows the alarm symbol to indicate that the alarm is now active.
• The display automatically changes back to the time display mode after approx. 5 seconds.
• Using the „alarm on/off" (1) button, you can activate or deactivate the alarm.
Awake
• To activate the snooze function when the alarm goes off, press the „Snooze/Light" (6) button.
The alarm stops and starts again after about 4 minutes. The symbol for the alarm repeat
blinks.
• To switch the alarm off completely, press the „alarm on/off" button (1).

If you don't press any button while the alarm is active, the alarm will be deactivated
automatically after ten minutes.
Time Zone Function
• Press and hold the „+" (5) or „-" (4) button for approx. 2 seconds to select a +1 hour or -1 hour
time zone, depending on your time zone. The display shows the time zone symbol -1 or +1.
• You can return to the original time by pressing the opposite button, either the „+" (5) or „-" (4)
key.
Display Light
• Press the „Snooze / Light" button (6), to turn on the display light for a few seconds.
Maintenance and Care
Apart from replacing the battery, the device requires no maintenance. Only clean the exterior of
the product with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
Never use caustic cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as they could damage the surface
of the case.
Do not press on the sensitive display surface.
Disposal
Device
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposal in the domestic waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the
following symbols. You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of
charge to the offi cial collection points in your municipality, in our stores, or anywhere
where batteries or rechargeable batteries are sold!
