off again. However, you can also shorten the time corre-
spondingly if you repeatedly press the "SELECT" button
(10). Additionally, a beeping tone will sound every time
the button is pressed.
Illumination of the display
By pressing the button "11" (double function), the time
and date display will be illuminated. To save on battery
consumption, you should not press this button too often.
Change of batteries
The radio is operated with two micro batteries for the
radio or a plug-in power supply and two micro batteries
for the time and date display. A change of batteries is
necessary, when the volume of the radio decreases
and/or the time and date do no longer appear clearly on
the display.
Open the corresponding battery receptacle "7",at the
bottom of the unit. Now replace the corresponding bat-
tery, only of the previous type. Make sure to pay atten-
tion to the polarity "+" and "-", according to the mar-

Alarm (Setting waking and/or
daytime alarm)
Press "MODE" button "12". On the display "hours : minu-
tes", as well as the symbol "AL" will appear. Then repea-
tedly press the "SELECT" button "10". You can now set
the following functions with this button: (Also pay attenti-
on to the different symbols on the right on the display.)
Speaker symbol
waking up time with alarm tone
Antenna symbol
waking up with radio
no symbol
no waking up with alarm tone
or radio
This is how you can enable or disable the waking func-
tion. If you would also like to set the waking time and/or
change it, you do the following:
When you have chosen the corresponding symbol, you
press the "SET" button"13". The hours will flash on the
display. By alternately pressing the buttons "SELECT"
(10) and "MODE" (12) you can set the desired waking
time (hours and minutes). At the end of setting, press
the "SET" button"13". To return to the time and date
display, press the "MODE" button "12" twice.
