Prescribed use
The Bipolar-Satellite-Loudspeakers transform electrical output signals from audio amplifiers into audible
sound waves and is only approved for a connection to loudspeakers output sockets of such devices.
§
Operation is only permitted in rooms, i.e. not indoors. Any contact with humidity, e.g. in bathrooms or
similar rooms must absolutely be avoided.
§
A using different to the one described above damages the loudspeakers. Moreover, this involves
dangers, such as short-circuits, fires etc.
§
No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt!
§
The safety instructions must be observed!
Safety instructions
Any claims for guarantee will become invalid in the event of damage that results from the non-
observance of the operating manual. We do not accept responsibility fur such damage.
§
Nor do we accept responsibility for damage to property or for personal injuries caused by improper
use or non-observance of safety instructions. Guarantees will not be accepted in any such case.
§
The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product itself is inadmissible for safety
reasons.
§
If you connect the loudspeaker, please also observe the safety instructions of the device your
connect it to.
§
You should not listen to music with an excessive volume over a longer period of time. This could
damage your hearing.
§
Do not expose the loudspeaker to high temperatures, strong vibrations or high humidity.
§
Do not leave packing material unattended. Plastic films or bags, polystyrene parts, etc. may become
dangerous toys for children.
§
When in doubt about how to connect it correctly or should there be questions that are not replied to
in these operating instructions, contact out Technical Adv isory Center or another expert. Consult an
expert when in doubt about the way of operation or the safety of the product.
Function
The Bipolar-satellite loudspeakers are designed according to a closed 2-way-principle.
The loudspeaker cables can be connected with screw terminals, where also 4 mm bananas can be
plugged in.
The loudspeakers can be used as satellite loudspeakers in connection with a subwoofer, and also as the
back effect loudspeakers in home cinema surround installations.
In order not to disturb the screen of the TV-set by the magnetic field of the loudspeaker, the loudspeaker
frame is magnetically shielded.
With the supplied support the loudspeakers can be mounted to the wall.
Positioning / mounting
When mounting the loudspeaker, make sure that the fixings are securely fastened
and that the respective fittings can carry the weight of the loudspeakers.
The loudspeaker can be put on the floor or furniture, or be mounted to the wall with the supplied support.
The location depends on the use as satellite or as surround loudspeakers.
Satellite loudspeaker:
•
Position the loudspeakers in such a way that the listening space has the same distance from both
loudspeakers (equilateral triangle)
•
In rectangular rooms the loudspeakers should be aligned along a short wall.
•
The trebles should be at the same height as the ears.
Surround loudspeakers:
•
The loudspeakers should be mounted laterally behind the listening space, a mounting at the wall
being the best solution.
•
Try out several possible places before you choose the final position of your Center loudspeaker in
order to find the optimal location in the particular listening space.
If you wan to fix the loudspeaker with the supplied mounting pieces, precede as follows:
•
For maximum stability, the mounting piece should be fixed vertically to the wall.
•
Use the mounting piece angle as a template and draw the holes needed for fixing at the place where
you want to mount the loudspeaker.
•
Make sure not to damage any lines, cables etc. underneath the mounting surface by drilling.
•
Screw the mounting angles to the wall, if necessary using dowels.
•
The dowels and screws must be suitable for the mounting surface and be able to carry the weight of
the loudspeaker.
•
Fix the loudspeaker to the mounting angle with the knurled screw.
Connection

When mounting the product make sure that the power cord is neither jammed nor
damaged by sharp edges.
§
The loudspeaker may only be connected to suitable loudspeaker outputs of audio
devices.
§
Make sure that the technical data as to impedance and power capacity correspond to
the data of the connected amplifier. Otherwise the loudspeaker of the amplifier might
be damaged.
§
The device you connect the speakers to must be switched off during connection.
Connect the connections at the loudspeaker with the loudspeaker outputs of the satellite or surround
loudspeaker of the amplifier:
