Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die Satelliten-Lautsprecher HTS-320 dienen zur Umwandlung der elektrischen
Ausgangssignale von Audioverstärkern in hörbare Schallwellen und sind nur für den
Anschluß an Lautsprecherausgänge von solchen Geräten zugelassen.
Eine Verwendung ist nur in geschlossenen Räumen, also nicht im Freien erlaubt. Der
Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit, z.B. im Badezimmer u.ä. Räumen ist unbedingt zu ver-
meiden.
Eine andere Verwendung, als zuvor beschrieben, führt zur Beschädigung der
Lautsprecher und ist überdies mit Gefahren, z.B. Kurzschluß, Brand etc. verbunden.
Das gesamte Produkt darf nicht geändert oder umgebaut werden!
Die Sicherheitshinweise sind unbedingt zu befolgen!

Bei Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachten dieser Bedienungsanleitung verur-
sacht werden, erlischt der Garantieanspruch! Für Folgeschäden überneh-
men wir keine Haftung!
Bei Sach- oder Personenschäden, die durch unsachgemäße Handhabung oder
Nichtbeachten der Sicherheitshinweise verursacht werden, übernehmen wir keine
Haftung! In solchen Fällen erlischt jeder Garantieanspruch.
Aus Sicherheitsgründen ist das eigenmächtige Umbauen und/oder Verändern des
Produktes nicht gestattet.
Beim Anschluß der Lautsprecher sind die Sicherheitshinweise des Gerätes, an das
sie angeschlossen werden ebenfalls zu beachten.
Musik sollte nicht über einen längeren Zeitraum mit übermäßiger Lautstärke gehört
werden. Hierdurch kann das Gehör geschädigt werden.
Setzen Sie die Lautsprecher keinen hohen Temperaturen, starken Vibrationen oder
hoher Feuchtigkeit aus.
Lassen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial nicht achtlos liegen, Plastikfolien/-tüten,
Styroporteile, etc., könnten für Kinder zu einem gefährlichen Spielzeug werden.
Sollten Sie sich über den korrekten Anschluß nicht im Klaren sein oder sollten sich
Fragen ergeben, die nicht im Laufe der Bedienungsanleitung abgeklärt werden, so
setzen Sie sich bitte mit unserer technischen Auskunft oder einem anderen
Fachmann in Verbindung.
Funktionsbeschreibung
Die Lautsprecher sind im geschlossenen 2-Wege-Prinzip aufgebaut.
Für den Tief-Mitteltonbereich steht ein 92mm-Chassis, für den Hochtonbereich eine
13mm-Hochtonkalotte zur Verfügung.
Die Lautsprecherkabel werden über Schraubterminals angeschlossen, in die auch
4mm-Bananas eingesteckt werden können.
Die Lautsprecher können sowohl als Satelliten-Lautsprecher in Verbindung mit
einem Subwoofer, als auch als hintere Effektlautsprecher in Heimkino-
Surroundanlagen eingesetzt werden.
Damit Bildschirme nicht durch das Magnetfeld der Lautsprecher beeinträchtigt wer-
den, sind die Lautsprecherchassis magnetisch geschirmt.
Mit der mitgelieferten Halterung können die Lautsprecher an der Wand montiert
werden.
Aufstellung / Montage
Achten Sie bei der Montage der Lautsprecher darauf, daß die
Befestigung sicher ausgeführt ist und die Befestigungselemente die
Last der Lautsprecher halten können.
Die Satelliten-Lautsprecher können aufgestellt oder mit den Montagebügeln an der
Wand befestigt werden.
Der Aufstellungs- bzw. Montageort richtet sich nach der Anwendung als Satelliten-
oder Surround-Lautsprecher.

Satelliten-Lautsprecher:
• Stellen Sie die Lautsprecher so auf, daß der Hörplatz sich möglichst gleichweit von
beiden Lautsprechern entfernt befindet (gleichseitiges Dreieck).
• In rechteckigen Räumen sollten die Lautsprecher möglichst entlang einer kurzen
Wand aufgestellt werden.
• Die Hochtöner sollten sich in etwa auf Ohrhöhe befinden.
Surround-Lautsprecher:
• Die Lautsprecher sollten seitlich hinter dem Hörplatz angebracht werden. Hierbei
bietet sich die Montage an der Wand an.
• Experimentieren Sie mit Ihren Montagemöglichkeiten vor der endgültigen
Befestigung ruhig ein wenig, um den für den Hörraum geeignetsten Montageort zu
ermitteln.
Möchten Sie die Lautsprecher mit den Montagebügeln befestigen, gehen Sie fol-
gendermaßen vor:

Anschluß
Beachten Sie beim Anschluß der Lautsprecher, daß die
Anschlußkabel nicht gequetscht oder durch scharfe Kanten beschä-
digt werden.
Ein Anschluß darf nur an geeignete Lautsprecherausgänge von
Audiogeräten erfolgen.
Stellen Sie sicher, daß die in den technischen Daten angegebenen
Werte für Impedanz und Belastbarkeit mit den Daten des ange-
schlossenen Verstärkers harmonieren. Ansonsten kann es zu
Beschädigungen der Lautsprecher oder des Verstärkers kommen.
Das Gerät, an das die Lautsprecher angeschlossen werden, muß
während der Anschlußarbeiten ausgeschaltet sein.
Verbinden Sie die Anschlüsse an den Lautsprechern mit den Lautsprecher-
ausgängen für die Satelliten- bzw. Surroundlautsprecher des Verstärkers:
Roter Anschluß > positiver Lautsprecherausgang
Schwarzer Anschluß > negativer Lautsprecherausgang

Prescribed use
The satellite loudspeakers HTS-320 transform electrical output signals from audio
amplifiers into audible sound waves and is only approved for a connection to loud-
speaker output sockets of such devices.
Operation is only permitted in rooms, i.e. not indoors.
Any contact with humidity, e.g. in bathrooms or similar rooms must absolutely be
avoided.
A use different to the one described above damages the loudspeakers.
Moerover, this involves dangers, such as short-circuits, fires etc.
No part of the product may be modified or rebuilt!
The safety instructions must be observed!
Safety instructions
Any claims for guarantee will become invalid in the event of damage that
results from the non-observance of the operating manual. We do not
accept responsibility for such damage.
Nor do we accept responsibility for damage to property or for personal injuries
caused by improper use or non-observance of safety instructions. Guarantees will
not be accepted in any such case.
The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product itself is inadmissi-
ble for safety reasons.
If you connect the loudspeaker, please also observe the safety instructions of the
device you connect it to.
You should not listen to music with an excessive volume over a longer period of
time. This could damage your hearing.
Do not expose the loudspeaker to high temperatures, strong vibrations or high
humidity.
Do not leave packing material unattended. Plastic films or bags, polystyrene parts,
etc. may become dangerous toys for children.
When in doubt about how to connect it correctly or should there be questions that
are not replied to in these operating instructions contact our Technical Advisory
Service or another expert. Consult an expert when in doubt about the way of oper-
ation or the safety of the product.
Function
The satellite loudspeakers are designed according to a closed 2-way-principle.
For the low to mid-range, there is a 92 mm frame, for the high pitch range a 13 mm
treble calotte.
The loudspeaker cables can be connected with screw terminals, where also 4 mm
bananas can be plugged in.
The loudspeakers can be used as satellite loudspeakers in connection with a sub-
woofer, and also as the back effect loudspeakers in home cinema surround instal-
lations.
In order not to disturb the screen of the TV-set by the magnetic field of the loud-
speaker, the loudspeaker frame is magnetically shielded.
With the supplied support the loudspeakers can be mounted to the wall.
Positioning / mounting
When mounting the loudspeaker, make sure that the fixings are
securely fastened and that the respective fittings can carry the
weight of the loudspeakers.
The loudspeaker can be put on the floor or furniture, or be mounted to the wall with
the supplied support.
The location depends on the use as satellite or as surround loudspeakers.

Satellite loudspeaker:
• Position the loudspeakers in such a way that the listening space has the same dis-
tance from both loudspeakers (equilateral triangle).
• In rectangular rooms the loudspeakers should be aligned along a short walls.
• The trebles should be at the same height as the ears.
Surround loudspeakers:
• The loudspeakers should be mounted laterally behind the listening space, a
mounting at the wall being the best solution.
• Try out several possible places before you choose the final position of your Center
loudspeaker in order to find the optimal location in the particular listening space.

Connection
When mounting the product make sure that the power cord is neither
jammed nor damaged by sharp edges.
The loudspeaker may only be connected to suitable loudspeaker out-
puts of audio devices.
Make sure that the technical data as to impedance and power capac-
ity correspond to the data of the connected amplifier. Otherwise the
loudspeaker of the amplifier might be damaged.
The device you connect the speakers to must be switched off during
connection.
Connect the connections at the loudspeaker with the loudspeaker outputs for the
satellite or surround loudspeaker of the amplifier.
