5. Safety instructions

We shall not be liable for damage to property or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or
failure to follow these instructions and observe the safety information! Such cases will void the
warranty. Read the operating instructions and safety information carefully. We do not assume any
liability for any subsequent damage.
Dear customer: Not only are the following safety notes and hazard warnings intended to protect the
device, they are also intended to protect your health. Please read this section carefully before using the
product for the first time!
a) General information
• For safety and licensing reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to the product are not
permitted. This includes the use of parts other than those supplied in the product packaging.
• This product does not require maintenance. Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by a techni-
cian or a specialist repair centre. Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in
the interior of the product, therefore never open it.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• Small parts of the product could be swallowed. Take special care to keep all small parts out of reach of
small children and animals.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture,
flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is not possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent unauthorised use.
• Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Do not tamper with the safety equipment. Never remove the safety instructions and labels on the device.
• Always comply with the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment when using the product
in industrial facilities.
• Replace components only when the power supply is disconnected.
• If you have any questions that are not answered by these operating instructions, please contact us or an
experienced technician.
• Check whether the 2.4 GHz radio frequency used affects other radio devices in the surrounding area or
whether the product is affected by them.
• Lay all control cables for the door release so that they are not accessible from the outside.
• If you want to use the app functionality, make sure you have adequate network coverage when setting up.
• Check the range of the bell and intercom. Masonry and any water-carrying installations or plants ad-
versely affect the maximum transmission range.
