Positioning/mounting
The device must be mounted and installed by a technician who is familiar with
the hazards and the relevant regulations. It must only be repaired, used and
set up by people who are suitably qualified.
When choosing a mounting location, ensure that the product will not be
exposed to vibrations, dust, alkaline solutions, hot and cold temperatures,
or damp environments. In addition, it must not be placed next to powerful
transformers or motors.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
Illuminated objects must be at least 0.5 m away from the device's light outlet.
To prevent the risk of a fire, highly flammable materials such as decorative
fabrics must be kept at a distance of at least 0.5 m from the product.
When installing the product, make sure that cables are not pinched or
damaged by sharp edges.
When mounting or repairing the product, the area below the installation
location must be cordoned off.
The installation surface or mounting fixture must be able to withstand 10
times the loading capacity for at least 1 hour without resulting in permanent
deformation.
If the product is installed in an elevated position, it must be secured by means
of a second safety restraint that is independent of the main support system.
No part of the installation should fall down if the main support system fails.
• Install the spotlight on a ceiling, wall or a suitable traverse system using the holes provided in
the housing. It must not be allowed to swing freely.
• Secure the device with mounting materials that are compatible with the mounting surface and
suitable for carrying the weight of the product.
• Secure the product with a suitable safety restraint rope or a safety net. The safety restraint
rope or net must be capable of supporting the spotlight in the event of a fault in the main
support system.
Connecting a DMX controller
Only connect the device to a DMX controller that uses the DMX-512 protocol.
You can operate up to 32 devices in a DMX chain; exceeding this limit will
overload the controller.
The maximum overall length of the DMX chain should not exceed 500 m.
XLR microphone cables may interfere with DMX signal transmission. If this
occurs, use special DMX high-frequency cables.
• Connect the DMX IN input to the output on the DMX controller.
• Use a shielded XLR cable to establish the connection. The controller must have 7 available
control channels.
• Connect the DMX OUT output to the DMX IN input on the next device. If the spotlight is the
last or only device in the DMX chain, insert a plug with a 120 Ohm/0.25 W terminal resistance
(between Pin2 and Pin3).
Pin assignment for the DMX connection: Pin1 = Earth / Pin2 = (-) / Pin3 = (+)
Never connect the earth cable to the ground connection on the spotlight, as this may
interfere with signal transmission due to ground loops.

Configuration options

a) Selecting the operating mode
The spotlight can be controlled via the built-in sound-to-light control feature, the built-in
controller or an external DMX controller.
The operating mode can be selected using the four buttons below the display.
• Press the MENU button to select the operating mode.
• Use the UP/DOWN buttons to set the desired parameters.
• Press the ENTER button to exit the setting.
• You can choose from the following modes:
Display
Operating mode
001-A511
DMX512 mode
A11-A19
Automatic: Red and yellow effect (motor speed = slow > fast)
A2_1-A2_9
Automatic: Green and purple effect (motor speed = slow > fast)
A3_1-A3_9
RGB automatic: Blue and white effect (motor speed = slow > fast)
A4_1-A4_9
Automatic: RGB changing colours (motor speed = slow > fast)
A5_1-A5_9
Automatic: Changing colours (motor speed = slow > fast)
A6_1-A6_9
Automatic: Changing colours with fading effect (motor speed = slow
> fast)
A7_1-A7_9
Automatic: Strobe effect (1-9 = fast > slow)
S1_1-S120
Sound-to-light mode 1 (flashing effect)
S1_2-S220
Sound-to-light mode 2 (changing colours with flashing effect)
No parameters need to be set in sound-to-light mode. The individual steps of the
program (1-20) are shown in the display.
b) DMX mode
• Press the MENU button until "Axxx" is shown (xxx stands for the start address).
• Select the DMX start address using the UP and DOWN buttons and confirm your selection by
pressing ENTER. The values 001 to 512 can be used for the start address.
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a start address so that it can be identified
by the controller. The start address determines the first DMX channel. The second
DMX channel is the channel that follows the start address (and so on).
The following overview shows the control options for each DMX channel.

c) Master-slave mode
In master-slave mode, all devices in a chain (slave devices) are controlled by the integrated
controller on the first device (master device).
• Connect the DMX OUT output on the master device to the DMX IN input on the first slave
device. Connect the DMX OUT output on the first slave device to the DMX IN input on the
second slave device. Proceed in the same way for the other slave devices.
• Plug an XLR connector with a terminating resistance into the DMX OUT output on the last
slave device (see "Connecting a DMX controller").
• On the master device, enable automatic or sound-to-light mode and select the desired effect
(see "Selecting the operating mode").
• On the slave devices, select DMX mode and set the DMX address to 001 (see chapter
"Selecting the operating mode" and "DMX mode").
Mains connection
The mains socket to which the power adapter is connected must be near the
device and easily accessible so that the device can be quickly and easily
isolated from the mains power supply in the event of a fault. Exercise caution
when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltages can
cause fatal electric shocks.
Do not leave cables lying around; ask an electrician to lay them properly to
prevent the risk of an accident.
Before plugging in the power adapter, ensure that the voltage indicated on the
device is the same as your mains voltage. If not, do not connect the device to
the mains. Connecting the device to a mains supply with an incorrect voltage
can cause irreparable damage to the device and may endanger the user.
• Plug the power adapter into a wall-mounted mains socket.
• The spotlight will switch on when it is connected to the power supply.
Maintenance
• Regularly check the technical safety of the spotlight (e.g. for damage to the power adapter
cable or housing).
• If you suspect that safe operation is no longer possible, discontinue use immediately and
prevent unauthorized use. Unplug the power adapter from the mains!
Care and cleaning
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
• The product does not require maintenance except for occasional cleaning. Use a soft,
antistatic, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the product.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
