Mobile Phone Charger Set with Torch

Intended use
This product is designed to temporarily supply mobile phones or multimedia devices with a charging voltage
of 5 V/DC when no charging cable or power socket is available. Charging currents of 500 and 1500 mA can
be selected. The product's rechargeable battery can be charged via the USB port of a computer or with a
power supply unit or in-car charger with a USB port (not included in delivery). The mobile phone charging set
also features a bright, white LED that can be used as a torch. Five interchangeable charging adaptors, for the
iPhone® and iPad®, among others, are included in delivery.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them.
Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Persons / Product
The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material
for children.
Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture,
flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:

is visibly damaged,

is no longer working properly,
-
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
-
has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the
product.
The product should not be used immediately after it has been brought from an area of cold temperature to
an area of warm temperature. Condensed water might destroy the product. Wait until the product adapts to
the new ambient temperature before use.
Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the
product.
Rechargeable batteries
When charging, place the device on a surface that is not heat-sensitive. It is normal that a certain amount
of heat is generated during charging.
Rechargeable batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
Miscellaneous
Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified
shop.
If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical
support service or other technical personnel.

Operation
Prior to initial use, charge the product's battery for 10 hours.
The product is not suitable for continuously operating devices. It can only power devices
temporarily, which have previously been charged properly.
Charging the rechargeable battery
1.
Connect the Micro-USB adaptor to the USB cable.
2.
Connect the Micro-USB adaptor to the input socket of the mobile phone's charger.
3.
Connect the USB cable to a computer, a suitable power supply unit or an in-car charger.
4.
The battery will be automatically charged. The red LEDs 1-4 light up. They show the battery's charging
status. The battery is fully charged when all 4 red LEDs stay on.

Charging mobile phones / multimedia devices

Select a suitable connector plug. Connect it to the USB cable.

Plug the USB connector to the mobile phone's output socket.
3.
Turn the device on. For this, briefly press the multi-function key on the side of the device once.

The battery's charge status will be briefly indicated through the red LEDs.

The green LED c1 indicates that the charging current is set at 500 mA. The device always starts with this
charging current.

By briefly pressing the multi-function key again, the charging current is switched to 1500 mA. This will be
indicated with the blue LED c2. To switch the charging current to 1500 mA, press the multifunction key
right after switch-on. If more than 5 seconds have passed from switch-on, the selection can no longer be
changed. In this case, turn the charger off and repeat the process.

After use, turn the mobile phone charger off. When operating at 500 mA, press the multi-function key twice;
when operating at 1500 mA, press it once. The green or the blue LED, respectively, will go off. The red
charge indicator LEDs will continue to shine for a short while after switch-off.

If no device is connected, the mobile phone charger will turn off automatically within 30 seconds.

Switch on the torch. For this, press and hold the multi-function key for two seconds.

You can activate the flashing function of the torch by briefly pressing the multi-function key once.

After use, turn the torch off. For this, press and hold the multi-function key for two seconds.
5.
Disposal
Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Rechargeable batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batteries.
Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated rechargeable batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the
domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium,
Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on rechargeable batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used rechargeable batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or
wherever rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
