a) App installation
• You can control the energy meter via WLAN using an app on your
mobile device. The product supports mobile devices such as iPhone
4s/5/5C/5S/6/6S, iPad 3/4/Air/mini, iPod Touch 5th generation and
Android smartphones/tablet computers with Android version 4.3 or
higher and WLAN connectivity.
• Activate WLAN on your mobile device and install the app before the
connection between the devices and the Internet is established.
• Download the Voltcraft
App Store/Google Play Store to install it on your mobile device. The app
is for free. It is possible to control several energy costs meters of the
same type with this app. Refer to the "technical data" about the system
requirements.
• Use the app to enter the electricity rate and read the energy
consumption. Energy costs and energy consumption will be displayed
also graphically. It is furthermore possible to connect or disconnect the
power supply of the connected appliance using the app.
b) Connection
• You need a Powerline Starter Kit.
• The Powerline Starter Kit serves as a home plug. The home plug
(IEEE 1901, home plug AV compatible) must be plugged into a power
outlet and connected to the router using a LAN cable.
• Connect the Powerline energy costs meter to an isolated ground
receptacle with an alternating voltage of 230 V/AC 50 Hz (D/FR/CH),
220 - 240 V/AC 50 Hz (UK).
