Thermo-/Hygrometer
with comfort display

Intended Use
This product shows the present room temperature, the present humidity as well as the level of
comfort. Furthermore the minimum and maximum temperature and humidity can be displayed if
desired.
The displaying of the temperature can be set to °C or °F.
It is powered by 2 x 1.5V micro batteries (type: AAA).
The thermo-/hygrometer with comfort display is only intended for use in dry indoor locations.
Do not operate the product in any other way than that described above. This could lead to dam-
age to the product, which may give rise to hazards such as short circuit, fire and electric shock.
The product must not be modified or converted. Always observe the safety instructions included
in these operating instructions. Please read the operating manual carefully and keep it for later
reference.
Explanation of Symbols
The lightening symbol in a triangle is used to alert you to potential risks for person-
al injury, such as electric shock.
This symbol, with an exclamation mark in a triangle, indicates particular dangers
associated with handling, function or operation.
The „Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure
to observe these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any
consequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases.
• The product must not be modified or converted, as not only the CE approval will
become void but also the warranty.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the product requires some time to stabilise,
in order to adjust to the surrounding temperature, before it can be used. Wait until
the product has adapted to the ambient temperature. Water condensation could
form, causing damage to the product.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Please contact qualified personnel if you are unsure about the safety or the cor-
rect use of the product.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic film/bags
etc. can be dangerous playthings for children, there is a risk of suffocation.
• If a safe operation can no longer be assumed, the device has to be put out of
operation and secured against unintended operation.
• A safe operation can no longer be assumed, if:
- the device shows visible signs of damage,
- the device no longer functions and
- it has been stored for longer periods under unfavourable conditions
or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
• The accident prevention regulationsof the association of compensation insurers
must be followed when using all electrical facilities and equipment in commercial
locations.
• The product is only approved for use in dry indoor locations.
• Power supply is ensured via two 1.5V micro batteries (type: AAA).
• Never pour fluids out above electrical devices.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified spe-
cialist or a specialised repair shop.
• In case you have questions which are not answered in this manual, please con-
tact our technical service or other specialists.

• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by chil-

dren or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.

• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable bat-
teries that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If it is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the battery. Old batteries may leak and
cause damage to the product, which will lead to the loss of the warranty/guarantee.
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read
the chapter „Disposal".
Display and Operating Elements

Inserting/Replacing the Batteries
• Remove the lid of the „battery compartment" (8).
• Remove the used batteries from the battery compartment.
• Insert two 1.5 V micro-batteries with the correct polarity (type: AAA) into the battery compart-
ment.
• Replace the lid of the „battery compartment" (8).
• The product briefly shows all display segments.
• Now the system is ready for operation.
°C or °F indicator
Press the „°C/°F" button to determine if the temperature should be shown in °C or in °F. The
temperature will then be displayed respectively in °C or °F.
Thermometer
In order to set the so far maximum measured tem-
perature, press the button „TEMP/MAX/MIN" (2)
once. Subsequently the display shows the writing
MAX beside the temperature value.
In order to set the so far minimum measured temper-
ature, press the button „TEMP/MAX/MIN" (2) again.
Subsequently the display shows the writing MIN
beside the temperature value.
Press the button „TEMP/MAX/MIN" (2) again in order to display the present room temperature.

If the LCD appears hardly readable a battery replacement is necessary.
While MAX or MIN is displayed you can reset the respective value by press-
ing the button „CLEAR" (3).
