4. Rescue chute mounting

The integrated rescue chute container (IRC) of the SKYLINE RIDE integrated under
the seat board is compatible to nearly all rescue systems available on the market.
We recommend the SKYLINE SURVIVE , which is harmonized to this harness.
The rescue chute is integrated in the Container of the harness, which is under the
seat board, in best position of the centre of gravity. The connecting line is sewn at
the shoulder belt firmly and has to be connected with the connecting line of the
rescue chute with a quick link. A special handle, which is fixed with a loop to the
inner container of the rescue, is delivered with the harness. Afterwards mount the
rescue chute like it is mentioned in the "Installation guide" (pages 9-12) into the 5-
leaf container. Close the container with the 2 Saftey Pins, which are on the rescue
handle.
The rated break point against unintentional releasing of the rescue system must be
duly installed and intact!
Note:
When pulling the handle, first of all the rated break point breaks and
afterwards the safety pin is pulled from the loop and opens thereby the
locking of the external container. Then the second end of the handle pulls
out the inner container with rescue system. Only in this order a safe opening
of the emergency parachute is ensured.
Please ensure that the thread of the rated break point is intact and is duly
(see sketch in the appendix) attached. The rated break point must be
controlled before each flight to prevent an unintentional opening of the
rescue system (e.g. when starting). It is warned expressly of the use of
unsuitable and unauthorized rated break point. rated break points are
supplied and/or changed by SKYLINE. In the case of use of unauthorized
rated break point. The certification expires!
To prevent an inadvertent opening, it must be ensured that the loop is
placed approximately in the centre of the safety pin and holds the safety pin
tight. The handle must be attached to the velcro of the harness that there is
space and that the safety pin is not pulled out of the loop.
After each packing a trial-release must be accomplished. The force you need
in case of activating must be about 5 daN.
Attention:
After a release of the rescue, the connection line will tare open the zipper on the
right hand side. This zipper can be closed with the slider which is located in a pocket
on the shoulder part of the harness (pocket is close to the connection line). See
Installation guide!
The assembly may be accomplished exclusively by an authorized SKYLINE selling
partner. Pay attention that only SKYLINE original parts are used.
