12. Maintenance

Check the technical safety of the radio microphone set regularly, e.g. for damage to the housing or power
pack etc.
If you have any reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immedia-
tely and make sure it is not unintentionally operated. Pull the power unit out of the socket.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is visible damage to the device or to the power unit,
• the device no longer functions
• the device has been stored for a long time under unfavourable conditions or
• after exposure to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the device:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or components are removed.
The device must be disconnected from all power sources before any servicing or repair work is
carried out.
Capacitors inside the device may still carry voltage even though they have been disconnected
from all power sources.
Only qualified experts familiar with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations may per-
form repairs.
Cleaning
The outside of the radio microphone set should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or dry brush.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surfaces of
the housing.
